I just can't stand them. They had an asshole behavior during X Factor. They blamed everyone else when they performed badly, they even attacked Union J and their families. Apparently Union J's families lobbied for George being able to play the guitar, and that made them unable to play an instrument, since George was. They also attacked Union J's fans on many occasions, and called them bad names, same with Union J.

Then there's the fact that them and their fans spread a lie, that the judges were favoring Union J or some BS like that. Newsflash: Union J were better, and that's why they were favored. They felt like a boyband since week 2, unlike District 3. It didn't hinder District 3 in spreading a lie all over internet though, that D3 were being treated unfairly. Pathetic attempt to get sympathy votes if you ask me.

Fact is that District 3 messed up week after week. I literally laughed at them that week they did so awful, and the truth is they should have gone home. They were effing lucky that their fans saved them from the bottom. They deserved to go home. Union J never did really badly, except maybe the first week, yet they were often in the bottom.. WTF?!?! Unlike D3, they didn't deserve to be in the bottom all those times.

Then there's the issue of them being such amazing singers and great at harmonizing, yep.. I'll give them the harmonizing part, they're clearly doing harmonies better than Union J, there's no denying that. And I'm sure they've worked hard to get where they are today, I know they've been a band for years. But I just think they're overrated. Their vocals individually are not that good. I think Union J have better vocals (well, Jaymi and Josh at least). And what's up with the fake American accent District 3 put up during X Factor? WTF?!?! That was just weird. And what's with all the hip hop songs and the dancing? I know they were trying to be "modern" and "contemporary", trying to be different from other boybands. They even said themselves that they wanted to be inventive, but it just didn't work. I had no idea what was going on half the time, it was just cringeworthy to watch. It was just too much. They could do well to tone it down a bit.

All in all, I just don't like them. They're overrated, they're behavior during X Factor was appalling, and on a shallow level they're not even good looking. I thought you were supposed to have good looks to be in a boyband? I guess I was wrong. In the end.. they don't have good looks, their vocals are overrated, and I just think they're douchebags tbh. Idk.. they just don't appeal to me at all. I don't get why people like them so much. They trend on twitter like every day. I find them as annoying as Emblem 3, and that says a lot.

PS: I'm NOT saying Union J are perfect. I only thought their first single was ok (not terrible but not amazing either). And the music video was awful imo. Then there's the fact that Jaymi oversings every song. It's too OTT. We all know he's got a good voice, but they're a group. It's about them, not just him. And this is coming from a Union J fan. Like I said, Union J are not perfect, but I still like them more. I find them to be nicer guys.

I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way as me?

Is this thread really necessary?

I mean, it's threads like this that give DS the negative image that it has. Series 9 has been over for almost half a year now, just let it (and all the acts that were on the show) go, the fact that most of them aren't doing well at the moment should be more than enough to satisfy anyone's dislike to certain acts.

It took me a minute to remember who they actually are.

I don't think the Union J fan club have anything to worry about.

I highly recommend not saying anything bad about Jaymi as he basically had one of the best male voices of last series

I am ambivalent towards them.

After all they are just another soundalike boyband a la 1D/Union J/JLS/The Wanted, etc etc. Wake me up when any of these bands do anything different from what has been done by similar bands over the last 20-30 years.

I dont really know why you felt the need to come here months after the XF finished and slate them like this.!and why bring Union J into it?If you dont like them fine but dont compare them to Union J,they are two different groups.

I for one LOVE district3 and think they are very talented .I am not going to bother to comment on all the other crap you said as I really think it was very unnecessary and some of it was mean and unfair towards. They are just 3 lads trying to do what they love. They still have plenty of fans out there maybe not as many as Union J but they will do fine. They are currently doing their own tour around the UK which has sold really well and have written loads of songs which they are preforming on the tour.So please leave them alone!

I couldn't be arsed reading your bore-fest novel but I definitely thought Melanie Masson deserved to stay over them. They were awful.

Jaymi was the best technical singer full stop on the series last year. After Jade was sent home I used to only watch and listen for his solos. I still listen to that awful group performance of Beatiful Day by U2 just for his 4 lines. He nailed them and lifted the whole song up.

Agreed Jaymi and James were amazing last year! Both didn't oversing and had powerful voices. They emoted and connected with the songs so beautifully. Jaymi was incontrovertibly the best male vocalist in a group of all XF seasons!

This thread is unnecessary and ridiculous. OP, you clearly have something massive against District3, and to be frank, I am quite disturbed at just HOW much you seem to hate them? You seem obsessed with putting them down. You attacked me on your old account because I was a District3 fan, so much so that I had to report you, and now you post this? Maybe you should just focus on your own band, because you seem to concentrate more on District3 than Union J.

District 3 were appalling and yes, should have never been saved against Melanie. And yes, Melanie and Jaymi were far and away the best two singers of last series. However, who cares now, series nine is long gone.

Also, I find it a bit hilare how much this thread has offended people.

I agree with you, but people seem to think that because it's "just" their opinion they are voicing, it should not offend other people... instead of understanding that there are different ways to express your opinion: some that will offend, and some that won't.

exactly!if u dont like something/one/band etc fair enough just dont make a thread to say really horrible stuff about them because someone will get annoyed about it.

I for one love D3 so this did offend me

Wow, you really need to take a chill pill honey! Why do you even care?? The whole D3/UJ debate is a bit 2012 don't you think???? UJ have a record deal and D3 are currently headlining their own national tour, performing their original material (which is awesome btw ) and releasing their EP soon. Both bands are doing well and the boys actually get along with each other, so really no need to throw your dollies out of your pram about D3.

I personally am a massive fan of D3, but I don't mind UJ either. I will definitely be buying D3s new stuff because it is really excellent and I consider them to be extremely talented (I know it isn't relevant, but I also think they're sexy as hell ) . I would have bought UJs single, had it not been so woefully awful, really hope Sony give them some better material in the future. Kind of glad D3 didn't get signed by Cowell's evil empire, as I would have been gutted if they had been forced to release something as dreadful as 'Carry You'. True, D3 may not sell as much without a major label, but they can at least make the music they want to make and keep their artistic integrity intact. In a way I wish they hadn't gone on xf, as it tried to squeeze them into a mould they didn't fit. However, it did expand their already considerable fan base, so I guess it was worth it.

Anyway darling, you have obviously made up your mind about D3, but seriously don't worry about it quite so much. Life is far too short to spend so much time on negativity. Focus more on the stuff you enjoy, rather than the stuff you don't. You'll be happier and live longer!

I'm not going to be in the running for president of the D3 fan club anytime soon, and I don't really think there's much point in dragging out the debate, but having said that they do seem to have a tendency of passing the buck or trying to stir up sympathy. They recently had a headline saying how Louis Walsh broke their heart and pretty much throughout the show and the tour it seemd as if they indicated that the X Factor had tossed them under the bus. Whether or not that is the case (and I must admit it probably is more true than isn't), they would have come across as much more mature if they hadn't complained about it so much.

I think it all depends on how you read the comments, but on some level it did sound at times that they were making underhanded insults towards Union J. http://uk.omg.yahoo.com/news/x-facto...104941298.html Could very well be just a deliberately negative rewording of what he said, but there's something very dismissive about him saying that they were essentially only liked because they were the manufactured band of the two (which obviously wasn't the case, they disposed of Nuvibe the year before quickly enough and they were entirely constructed on the show). Then there was the whole fuss about the guitar, more fans being there for UJ than them etc.

I might be wrong. I don't know District3 especially well, but I did find some of their comments annoying, a little bit insipid, negative and quick to pass the blame elsewhere. But it doesn't especially matter now. They seem to be happy with what they are doing, have complete creative control by the looks of it and haven't given up despite not getting a record deal. And to be honest I think that the latter trait probably makes up for the ones I do/did find annoying.
