As the title says , our favourite soap has been ditched, on Bank Holiday Monday

So what's on instead I here you cry . Antiques Roadshow or over on the devils channel Britains Got Adverts .
More primetime money making for Simon Cowell .

Why do they mess around with the schedules
It seems the BBC cave in and run scared from BGT . Why don't they knock out a cracking episode and take the fight to them ? The best form of defence is attack .

In am aware of a Wednesday show , but I normally do other things on Wednesday .

This is it.

EastEnders isn't hitting high in the ratings currently and the BBC must have figured a massive embarrassment would have happened if the episode had been left up against BGTs first live show so ran away like a little child. However what is odd is that they have also messed around with several other shows in the process. The BBC are totally clueless right now. Totally idiots.

Back to EE though, I guess after winning no soap awards they just wanted to avoid more bad headlines for EE but it still has the rest of this weeks shows to air yet so might not be totally out of the woods.

Don't know if we are in for the lowest ever EE ratings but we might not be far off it.

The heinous swines - they have scheduled EE for Wednesday instead. Is nothing sacred?

How will we cope?

Sack the BBC. Close down Lord Patten.

Do you not have access to one of those new-fangled recording machines? Like a VCR or PVR?

It is all illogical. With on-demand and I-player they should just accept some lower ratings but keep consistency. Why they felt the need to swap The Apprentice, Frankie and Waterloo Road around is bizarre.

I could understand if EE was replaced by a film or a one off drama but not Antiques Roadshow! Is this to tell the old people they are still alive?

I think EE are scared of losing to BGT.

Why do people complain so much about tv schedules, just watch it on catch up or record it or even better in this case watch it tomorrow because that's where it's moved to.

I dont think the BBC is scared but more using their common sense this time. They have spread out their big shows across the week and put Weaker ones (Waterloo road in a better slot) Wednesdays are BBC1'S weak night and against BGT itscworse. Tues-Fri at 7.30 works well. I have no problem With no EastEnders being on and i hope this happens again.

I think it's a smart move.
It's a sunny day is a bank holiday and bgt is event tv
Unless they went in all guns blazing it would be pointless just having ee on its own.
It's like itv on xmas day they know when they're beat - Although the addition of downtown has changed that a bit

This is a sign of things to come....

Unless the quality improves, expect much more of this.

Its a clever move from the BBC they can now have the blame put on these shows doing dire in the ratings on the fact they were moved from their regular slots rather than having to admit that BGT ****ed them!

Well i can see why they have moved Eastenders to 7.30 this week as then it starts at the same time as BGT, as for the other schedule changes I guess that Frankie and Corrie will have a similar audience and hence why they have swapped that and The Apprentice around. Waterloo Road needs to stay on Wednesday nights as it perfomed much better there than on Thursdays.

It's not sunny, its pissing down so they can't use that excuse today. More like they know BGT is going to crucify it and are being wise in moving it tonight.

I guess the weather depends on the part of the country you live in - it's dry, bright and sunny where I am.

Yeah...Watchdog can hold up better against BGT than Waterloo road which is why the BBC done the switch.Having EastEnders run Tues-Fri at 739 make much more sense.

Sunny and Warm here too. Think Ireland/Scotland and Parts of North England is getting the bad weather .On the forecast it said Rain will miss parts of the South and the South East will remain Dry and Warm.

Overcast & windy here in South Wales, but I've got the place to myself, beers in the fridge, and the Play-off Final is just about to start on the telly.

Lovely-jubbly!
