So no wonder they are desperate - their plan is failing. Sub-SD on a 43" TV I ask you? Do they really expect to be taken seriously?
This is one-way traffic now towards online, and Sky need to stop clinging to their existing business model and get with it w.r.t. online services for non-DTH potential customers.”
Which is their conundrum. Because that Sky 'lock in' (have to buy a package to get to a package) existing business model, is the goose that laid the golden egg, where their concerned.
They do offer HD TV via Now TV, but not on YouView. They also offer live TV too. But again, not on YouView.
Mind you, their definition of 'HD' is certainly a loose one, as its about comparable with a good quality Netflix SD stream.
In short, it's overpriced garbage compared to what users can get from other internet providers. I believe they have made this '£15 for six months' offer because they don't want to present/show churn on their subscriber numbers. But that is just my personal opinion.
