A lot of the kids on the show have more talent than that has been. He should stick to wandering around sets having no idea what is going on and reading his lines of the auto cue incorrectly.
![]() I wonder if Simon will still be doing television when he's 85? That's if the Botox and fillers haven't killed him first

To be honest Bruce is thinking of the kids. He has been in the showbiz world long enough to understand how cut throat it is.
Yes the kids are talented but ultimately the show builds on their hopes. Once BGT finishes it is a totally different ball game and can make or break them. What he is probably trying to get through is let the kids be just that kids and enjoy their young years rather than trying to find fame and fortune at an early age and being thrust into the make or break world of showbiz. If they dont make it in the industry is that gonna shatter their confidence going for interviews etc in years to come? |

Bruce has lost the plot just grumpy old man who is stuck in a time warp. Everyone remembers his disgraceful backing of Anton's racist remark on Strictly in 2009 which he said was acceptable short memory's that's how out of touch he is.
Its got nothing to do with him whether kids enter the show. You tell me one child who has taken part since BGT began that's life has been destroyed by not winning? |

Oh and Bruce has been on tv and stages for 70 odd years, so id take his word over yours anyday. BTW talking of timewarps, the XF and BGT have been in one for years. |

Didnt she stamp her feet and start crying when Ant and Dec said she could not sing again, hence Simon Cowell letting her sing again as she was ready for a tantrum or something?

As long as the children are cared for in the right way on and off stage there's no way they should not take part. Though, of course, that's a big 'if'. |

I don't like child acts, but if Simon is compelled to have child acts then the least he can do is defend his decision.
To be honest, I'd rather he at least acknowledge the criticism rather than ignore it. If he wants to look after a bunch of snotty kids with their pushy parents breathing down his neck then it's the least he can do. lol Maybe something will come along to finally make him think otherwise. |

I don't think it's bad but I do think there should be a limit like maybe 14 and over.
But then again in America it's really common for young people to do shows and that just not in the UK. |

Have you followed all their lives after the show is over? Have you installed cameras into their houses to see what they live like? No? Well then you dont know. Stop taking "fantasy land ITV bubble" as fact.

BTW talking of timewarps, the XF and BGT have been in one for years. ![]() I don't actually care how long Bruce has been in showbiz the man's a complete dinosaur. He thinks what's acceptable in his era is acceptable now hence his backing of the racist term that Anton used Kids who have taken part haven't gone off the rails or turned bad because of the disappointment, if the kids can't handle it then the parents should take responsibility the uproar over Simon's comments by some is laughable to read. |

Yes she did. Vile little madam. I don't think I have ever liked a child act on BGT, they are always precocious brats.
![]() ![]() Glad you remember her doing it too.... Also, her pushy mother was trying to make her sing again if i remember

Poor old Ant got thrown to the wolves with that - got told to tell her that she couldn't sing again, causing her to have her tantrum, but Simon intervenes to save the day of course.

I absolutely hate the ad breaks. Yes recording finished so now to watch.
Who said no one take any notice....the thing is we all do! We just don't realise it. The trick being the name/brand is planted in the back of your mind. So when out shopping your more likely to go for the familiar name/brand. Turn the sound down, make a brew, switch channels or best of all record it. Trying, and failing to see what on earth this has to do with the OP.
