Thank God there are people who know this young woman's opportunity was sabotaged. I know her and I can confirm she was made to sing that song and perform it that way. The production team are 100% responsible, she was not given a choice. She was not aloud to sing her own material even though she is a singer/songwriter. Modupe has over 100 songs and has been writing since she was 10 years old.
I was horrified when I saw the song choice she was given because I knew it wasn't her. I did not like what they did to her at all. This year seems to be about kids , and any competition seems to have been quashed.
The production team knew it would not do down well with the viewers and their favourites would sail through.
They made a credible artist look tacky, with the whole set up and the wrong song choice.
She is however a strong person and will shine regardless of this. She has a great career ahead of her and will use the platform she has been given to achieve her goal !!!!!
