Oh, and 'light blues' - if anyone is listening to anything published by the Syco label (or indeed anything currently in the charts) in 250 years time then I'll happily rise from the grave and eat my hat

very good points that you have made.

Like it NOT !

It's a mish-mash Of "Where is the love" and Alicia Key's "No One " plus a few others .

I bet there are lawyers working around the clock to get their clients a cut of the royalties.

Exactly!
This is a cute song, but it shouldn't be about one song being good, it should be about her talent as a singer. Every other act did something different. They are all told at auditions to bring something extra next time. Clearly this didn't apply to her.
And if she is in a competition that is open to all ages, then her age is irrelevant, she should be judged by the same standards.

well there are no rules as to how an individual judges someone, but obviously large numbers of people disagree with the negative comments as she made the final.

i didn't see her first audition and i don't particularly care about her age, i enjoyed her performance and would be quite happy to see her perform the same song again in the final and again at the Royal Variety Show.

She got the Judges votes to put her in to the final. Could have gone to the 2 young lads!
For all we know, they could have beat her in the Public vote!

I haven't heard of that being a clear cut rule.

The two dancers who opened the show (I think they opened it?) performed a very similar routine to their one at their audition.

And didn't Shaheen sing the same song twice (once in his auditions and once in the live shows)?

It's an incredibly catchy tune and a pretty well constructed song. Her voice is strong and in tune, she has more talent than a lot of adult so called 'stars' who can not write their own material and can barely sing. She has a great future as a songwriter if nothing else.

The audition was more or less the same as the live show performance, so you didn't miss anything IMO.

True. As much as I credit her showing an interest or talent, the song bored me the second time I heard it. The first act and the two boys were better.

It did for me too - pretty close to it.

Yes - once in the audition and the final. Not many acts do the same performance twice in a row.

They should'nt be allowed to do the same performance. People want to see how versatile they are.

Four acts through to the final so far, and three of them are kids. Are there anymore kids acts to come ?

At the rate these kids are going through, the final is going to be like and end of term show.

Well I'm sorry but only a musical snob would unfavourably compare a 14 year old girl doing contemporary music in her own style with mozart, why not give her some credit even if you dont like the song or style.,she a talented young girl in her own right and doesn't need to be compared to classical pianists.

Where as we were 'treated' to Gabz singing it on Sunday night auditions and then again on Tuesday night in the semis. I always thought those getting put through to the semis were foretold " Make sure you bring something different "!!

She told Ant 'n Dec she has at least 30 songs
Lets hope the one she sings in the final is different to the lighter one

I'm personally not a fan, it's very samey in my opinion. But she seems like a nice girl and evidently has fans so good luck to her.

Pretty sure all the production work is done on her next song already guys. They probably went through those 30 songs with her and picked out the next one ready for the show. You don't know how this industry works. It's all very staged.

Hows about singing, ' It’s cold outside, there’s no kind of atmosphere, I’m all alone, more or less........
