Deciding to prove that your team leader has no idea what he is doing is not, in my opinion, a good way to win a group task. As Leah proved.

I don't know that the footage supports this - they were going from shop to shop trying to find somewhere that sold coffee pots so they did seem to be getting on with it even if it wasn't getting them anywhere. It might also have helped if they had been looking for a guitar rather than perfume.

Yep, i think its because she got moved across and away from the stronger, better candidates she felt she could make her mark. Truth is, her and her sub-team sucked. If they had bought one more item, they'd have won.

She went from non-entity to smug cow tonight. Can't wait for her to be fired.

What's this extremely clear direction from Zee?
Leah wanted to go to the Mall, but zee directed her not to and she obeyed and lost because of it.
Zee directed them to look for oud perfume, and so they obeyed and lost wasting time looking for what zee was so sure of.
Zee was unfortunately unorganised and was overconfident in this task, which lead to his downfall.
No way leah had a lucky escape. Leah was never going out that night. Leah has been a very strong candidate overall in the process.

She looked gorgeous tonight, also this episode really focused on her which is good since we haven't seen much of her at all until now.

Zee was the correct firee tonight, as I've said in numerous posts. But Leah made her personal agenda against Zee her priority, rather than winning the task. They are bright human beings but the negativity of her attitude militated against the win. One more correct item could have won it for them. The unauthorised drive to the mall instead of the souk could have bought them valuable shopping and bargaining time. They worked hard to source the coffee pot - couldn't two of them done that, while one went around the souk with the rest of the shopping list? Kurt should have been next in line after Zee tonight but it's really not possible to exonerate Leah, and I've been a fan up to now, my posts will bear that out.

I agree with this, the attitude and determination between both teams was night and day, Myles team had a positive attitude throughout, Leah looked like she has been slapped by a wet fish, it seemed like she had given up from the start of the task

She just sulked cause she couldn't be PM and seemed determined to take it out on him.

Yes, Zee was overconfident but no one else knew any of the items any better or they'd have corrected him... It was a shambles all round really.

You're spot on Romola

I mean, once she had disobeyed Zee and gone to the mall, they may as well have gone in there for a bit, her actions wasted loads of time, she didn't negotiate on anything.
Purple.

I agree she's been a strong candidate up to now, my posts will bear that out. But she was wrong tonight. The clear direction was 'Go to the souk'. She wasted time by trying to go to the mall and then went to the souk with a bad attitude. She was not motivational, she didn't split her sub team as she should have done and she behaved unprofessionally. I'm prepared to accept that she was blinded byt a justified disrespect for Zee, but that gets her the benefit of the doubt, it doesn't excuse her.

Was the disrespect towards Zee justified for the mere fact that he won the vote to be PM? Its not Zee's personal fault that the other team members voted in his favour. I think anyone would have voted for Zee, you trust his knowledge of Dubai, which for the most part was right, his problem was that he couldn't admit what he didn't know. His pride got him fired.

No, i would have voted for him to be PM as well, he had the credentials and the confidence. But the other candidates, including Leah, had some knowledge of his attitudes and rudeness. That really doesn't excuse Leah's undermining behaviour throughout the task but it was his downfall, and correctly so.

I'd say we'd seen some earlier examples of his forthrightness, but when he lambasted Jason for attempting to undercut his own sale...he was right.

He's a passionate character, I thought he'd do well in the show, but if you claim to know-all about something, you better know-all.

The extra flag was negotiated down to very little, they paid 200 Dirhams for both (about £36). The difference in what they paid compared to the other team was just a few pounds, it didn't lose them the task. The killer might have been the extra time, but they didn't sit and wait for the flag. The losing item was the wrong style of kandura. They got penalised for that. So Kurt's mistake, though idiotic, was survivable. Neil should have been in the boardroom.

Myles' team deserved to win because he was a better leader and they worked together as a team. Their performance was only just better though. That is despite wasting precious time waiting in a flag makers and bizarrely insisting on paying in advance. What possessed them to do that? You never pay in advance unless it gets you an advantage.

The subteam spent about 2 minutes telling Zee that the item was 'O-U-D', but he kept replying 'O-U-D-H, that's a perfume' they told him 4 or 5 times that there was no H but he just told them it was a mahogany scented perfume.

True...

But the sub-team couldn't find out what Oud was, only kept repeating what it wasn't. Evolve had no such issues and sourced the item out through sheer perseverance.

I thought it was a refreshing change to see some fight in her. I was getting bored of her competent robot edit. lol

Though Nick felt differently in the boardroom, he complimented Leah's sub-team and criticized Zee, Kurt and Natalie for lacking the same passion.

True. But I'm sure they could have at least found out what Oud was if they knew for a fact it wasn't wood flavoured perfume.

They asked people in the Souk and they didn't have a clue.

Then they didn't ask enough people. I can't believe no-one knew what it was.
