Just wondering how this ep compared to Marrakech in series 4, which imo was an Apprentice classic.

I've not watched the ep yet, will catch up on iplayer but just wanted to hear peoples thoughts because Karen Brady mentioned in an interview how this a fantastic episode not to be missed.

There were many mistakes made, and a brilliant boardroom.

The boardroom was a classic, seriously, but the task will only be remembered because it was in Dubai.

No (to be honest I think that episode is quite possibly the best of all time). But it did have some good moments.

Interesting and you've got to love a classic boardroom.

Thanks, I'm quite exited for the ep now.

I'd say Marrakech is the best ep of all time so far, great task, so many moments of pure stupidity, classic quotes, brilliant boardroom and Lord Sugar was on fire.

I don't think anything could top Marrakesh, so no.

Still a brilliant ep though

Agreed. Marrakech is the daddy of all Apprentice episodes.

It got the right feel, but it unfortunately wasn't as good as the Marrakech episode because that was the best episode by a mile, BUT that being said the producers/Lord Sugar are going in the right direction in taking them to exotic locations for this type of task, plus this is still a classic, it's just that the Marrakech episode is in a league of its own.

The candidates were much better TV in series 4, Raef, Lee, Jenny C, Sophacles, Lucinda!!

Then the double firing! Unbeatable stuff

It seems like the Marrakech ep gets the thumbs up from pretty much everyone. Can't fault it really.

Don't forget poor Jenny C getting fired on her birthday.

The chicken hunt was hilarious think I remember there being bribery and corruption too. Dubai didn't come close. Marrakesh was just wonderful.

Jenny C was hideous though, I've never seen Sugar fire anyone with more vitriol

'You're fired, goodbye!'

No, Marrakesh is still unequalled. Kosher chicken! Dirty tricks and attempted bribery in sports shops! Claire pretending to be Alex's girlfriend (and getting way to into the part)! Jenny Celery getting fired on her birthday! Michael Sophocles shown up for the slimeball he was! Sara and Lucinda singled out for praise! Any one of these would have made the episode satisfying.

Definitely not, but then you are talking about an all-time Apprentice classic.

Still it was a good episode tonight.

Marrakesh will really take some beating but I still thought this episode was terrific and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It'll be so difficult to beat Marrakesh as it was a double firing and so satisfying in so many ways.

The only good part of the show was that Dubai has a lot of beautiful buildings, magnificent boats, but the Candidates were lame, and didn't fit in. Marrakech is still the winner.

I think you have it spot on.

As you say, both sets of candidates in this task were awful.

Zee's team were much more competent than Jenny G's team so, as a consequence, Marrakech wins hands down as the best of the two.

Who can forget Jenny C and Michael trying to sabotage the other team when they appeared at the same shop for the same product. 'Jewish' Michael not knowing what Kosher meant and buying a Halal chicken instead. His puppy-dog eyes begging LS to keep him and not fire him for the mistake. The sacking of Jenny C in a double-firing! It didn't get any better.

It wasn't so much buying a Halal chicken, it was the whole thing of going to the Muslim butcher and asking them to bless it with a sign of the cross, and that would turn the chicken kosher, because they were in sight of a mosque.

As you say them trying to bribe the sports shop to delay the stringing for Lucinda was classic. Let's not forget Claire and Alex playing a "couple" while negotiating, and Jenny M not knowing green from white when buying the mosque alarm clock.

It was so jammed with epic fail, I'm surprised it was only two that got fired.

The board room was brilliant for the Marrakech episode. It started off with the bizarre "bonjour" as Lord Sugar went into the boardroom.

Then Jenny accounced (all pleased with herself) that it was her birthday today and she was 36. What a strange thing to say in the boardroom. She got a good present from Lord Sugar though!

Then Lord Sugar made the classic comment about Michael being a good Jewish boy, and that we could pull his trousers down and check if he was unsure.

Then he threatens to fire all of them! Alex, Jenny and Jennifer call "Sir Alan" at the same time to speak to him.

Then Michael started banging the table as Jenny was putting her version of events about the chicken fiasco. Eventually he fired Jenny because of this.

And then Claire explaining about that they might have to take some items back and that Jennifer went "urrrgggggghhhhhh" and Jennifer claiming she didn't go "uuuuurrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhh!"

After sending Alex back to the house, the final boardroom takes place. Finally Jennifer goes after Michael for the tennis racket incident which backfires as Lord Sugar picks her up for hanging on his words and using them to turn it against other people.

There were so many incidents in this boardroom that the Dubai episode doesn't come close. But the Dubai episode was still good.
