Sophie in episode 1? Because I haven't seen this mentioned in episode 1 thread and For some reason I didn't log in to digital spy, so although I never joined the forums, I still enjoyed reading them

Anyway
At a particular scene. In episode 1 during boardroom. Sophie tries to attack uzma and as a fellow Asian, I'm disappointed with her.

She said something along the lines
"Don't you think that this was a selling task you should be selling?'
Did SHE sell anything?

The one that really boils my blood is
"But what did you do? You didn't sell anything"
!%#*!#%

As soon as I heard that, she was definitely one of my least favourites yet I searches the forums and she was still people's favourites!!!?

In a business reality show there should be no solidarity or favoritism between any racial group. To suggest that one candidate should favour another or 'go easy on them' due to ethnicity is IMO rather damaging to the argument that everyone should be equal and has no place in modern Britain let alone the Apprentice.

It should be about ability, and business acumen etc plain and simple.

This doesn't help me, but don't worry, I'm very young. I have a lot to learn about a reality tv show

It's not really to do with a reality show per se, more life in general.

In business you start to get onto some very dodgy ground the moment you start to favour (or not) someone who is of a particular race.

Race should play no part (either positive or negative) in business.

It's also an entertainment show, and you choose who you want to win. Would you want the most compenant but most nastiest person to win? I wouldn't.

In the first episode where you barely see everyone in the screen, you usually choose a favourite right from the beginning and as the show progresses, your views will change.

For me I decided to take note of Sophie because of her race. As the 1st episode progressed, race had nothing to do with it and it was all about business acumen.

I believe what I saw was that she had none.

Now can we please stop going on about race in this tread?

Er, ok. Yeah silly old me for bringing it up when someone (obviously it won't have been you) made the rather, ahem, 'interesting' comment

Yep, I'm disappointed in the first episode that Sophie attacked uzma, because as she was an Asian, I thought she'd be good, but unfortunately my views changed.

No it really wasn't sarcasm!!!
She didn't make much of an impression. But to be honest, I mistakenly thought that you were talking about someone still in the game, hence my confusion (goes looking for the crosseyed smiley)
