So if I as you say, I should appreciate good music, then the music I get should have one great track followed by one flat one. That's what I have been doing wrong! Guess, I have chuck out my Ami Winehouse, Emeli Sande, Ella Fitzgerald, as all the tracks are sung well and in tune!

Most albums that come out have one or two weak tracks on them, and i like most of the same artists that you do. People are talking about Alice as if she like she been performing for years. She is starting out on her career so its not all going to be perfect is it. I would'nt expect it to be.

But in places, she was flat, and that is not down to experience, and she not that young at 28, we have seen singers on BGT that have never performed before and they are great singers.

I still believe she decided to play 'shy & nervous' card for BGTas she now understands she is not world class.

All the acts are told how to portray theirselves on the show. That is obvious. They are'nt allowed to put their own stamp on what happens as was shown with Modupe, who was made to perform without her guitar.

If we're just judging based on her first audition then what's the point of having the semi-finals?!

Her first audition was good (not superb by any means) and it was good enough to rightly get her into the semis, but her semi final performance was nowhere near good enough to get her into the final.

No it's seems your real reason for disliking her is that you feel she manipulated the process, as you have already stated.
Once you're comfortable with that its very easy to pick holes in any performance as you've already decided she's not your cup of tea

No it was about her semi performance, and her using the 'little girl lost' act as she was well aware she not that good. Even the judges said she messed up the song.

Again picking up on something not related to her singing , and to be honest if if judges hadn't mentioned a little mistake no one would be mentioning it here.

I think, maybe yes part of my criticism is that I believe this was a act to cover a avarage performance. I don't like to be taken in, and As I guess as she did not get the votes, so do a lot of other's.

It wasn't a poor performance what ruined it was her opening the waterworks after arguably the best performance that night. I just didn't get why she was crying and it made her look a fool, especially when kids much younger took to the stage, gave not so great performances but still beared a smile on thier faces. People were going to forgive her after 'The Voice' situation as its understandable to loose confidence after rejection but what happened on Tuesday pushed the public's buttons. Who knows what kind of mental disease she could've accuired had she made it to the final?

I don't have to like someone to acknowledge that they gave a good performance. If I honestly thought Alice's performance was good, I'd say so, but I don't think it was. She was all over the place and completely went to pieces.
