This has ALWAYS bothered me. We are always told the process is over a period of 12 or so weeks. BS it is. Why do they have to blatantly lie when it's obvious it can't be.

Each week the task takes roughly 2 days, 3 at the most, from start, to the boardroom firing. So what are they doing living in that house the rest of the week? 5 days of sitting around when they are obviously with their families...at home.

Am I the only one bothered by this? My assumption is they do the tasks one after another, and the whole process would take not even half the time of the actual tv running.
Either that, or they do go home during the week and come back for the next task, but what would the point of that be?

I just can't countenance the idea that they really do all live in that house for 12 weeks. Am i the only one who thinks about this?

You're not the only one to think about it, but this is the 9th series and it's been filmed like this since the beginning, so it's not really news any more. The tasks are filmed back to back with roughly one day off a week. The walks to the taxi are all recorded in one session before the first task. The boardroom is a TV set, not a boardroom. The secretary who tells them when they can enter is an actress. When it's "cars in 30 minutes", they can take longer than 30 minutes to get ready.

its just stikes me as totally pointlessly deceptive. There's no need to lie about something so unimportant. Which is why im baffled. Since it's a reality show how about they try to maintain some level of authenticity around it. Stupid really.

It is daft as the whole process is actually much more difficult for the candidates than it looks.
