Acer Iconia Tab B1
Hi, I am considering purchasing the Iconia Tab B1 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Iconia-.../dp/B00BCTK10C) as it ia only £99 with £20 cashback but just wondered if anyone had any experiences of it. The reviews on amazon all seem too good to be true!!
Thanks |

I own one. It's not bad for the money, funny thing is it's got a faster CPU than my Playbook, but the PB is faster (like auto rotation of the screen etc.) and with most apps.
The good points are it's quite fast and runs a reasonably up to date version of Android and is cheap as chips. The screen is OK and the battery life is good. If you want a cheap tablet that you can carry around and don't care if you lose it, this is good value. The major downside is the plasticy build quality, it's not poor (the device looks fine) but the think feels cheap compared to my PB and iPad. Also there is no rear camera which to be hones is not a big issue, but the front facing camera is crap but probably OK for Skype is pushed. For the money I'd give it a good 8/10 but if I were buying a 7" tablet for major use I'd look to either the PB if I couldn't afford a Nexus. |

I should also add it has GPS built in but no compass or sensor apps so something like Google Sky won't point to the correct the correct part of the sky but Google nav etc. works fine.
