Just imagine if simon did follow bruce's advice we'd have

The x factor
Kids x factor
Britain's got talent
Kids got talent
Worlds got talent

ITV would be in meltdown.

This show is mindless dumbed-down crap fed to the equally moronic masses who lap up this poor excuse for a TV show!

And, as if it couldn't get any worse, it's full of annoying kids

If they were bad last nite, just wait till they get to the final.

There will be tears and tantrums a plenty!!

It was SO obvious that the Pre-Skool would be put through. There's no way that the judges were going to reject them and risk angering viewers whose reaction to them would simply be "ah, they're so cute". I thought they were good doing their dance but that's about it.

You can't really expect a group of young kids to be calm and dignified, but I don't remember any other children begging to go through like that. It was awful and the judges should have ignored it and not allowed it to influence them (although that could be difficult I know).

It would have had the opposite effect on me id have happily voted them off I appreciate that comes across heartless but they'll be dissapointed when they don't win the final anyway

Last night's show was totally predictable. I sat in front of the tv just knowing that they would be going through because obviously the public love 'cute and cuddly kids'.

Its a talent show for Pete's sake - lets vote for the acts that actually have the talent. Not just vote for the acts that have loads of kids and look cute or the ones we feel sorry for.

And on my last point ( yes - I know I will no doubt get a pasting for this but hey - everyone is entitled to an opinion!!) I really do think that the young comedian with the disability (sorry - can't remember his name now) ONLY got through because the judges did not want to say no to a disabled person ( my view on this seems to be backed up here: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1831533)

Could you imagine the backlash the British public would have given the show if the judges had 'X'ed him........

Yes he was funny but certainly not funny enough to be put through to the final...................”

He (Jack Carroll) topped the public vote though so he went straight into the final.

I really didn't want Pre Skool to get through. We now have 4 kids acts out of 6 with the possibility of Youth Creation being the wild card.

If there is any justice, based on the 3rd placed acts so far, surely Joseph should get the wild card. He is brilliant, different and far better than George Samson who won the show!

Well said - the confusion between cute and talent is unforgivable - the Judges should be able to see that, surely.

It would have had the opposite effect on me I must say. They should have been told / prepared how to act in the event of that situation. They looked like a bunch of desperate, precocious wannabes to me, not cute and endearing at all!

I can't believe we're having these screaming kids inflicted on us against our will either. It's ruining my whole BGT experience.

Agreed. After all the show is supposed to be Britains got Talent NOT Britains got kids that are kind of cute but whingy and annoying. Well done to Amanda and Alesha , i really thought Amanda would vote for the kids. I thought it was quite clear Cowell wanted to vote for Joseph but those greeting faced little kids screaming and begging in his face made him bottle it. I also think David bottled it last minute and changed his vote.

Also agree if kids are going to be allowed in these shows they should be treated equally and not have allowances made because of their age. If they want a career in the entertainment the sooner they grow a thick skin the better.

^^This

None of the kiddie acts that are through to the final, have impressed me very much. Pre-skool made me want to scratch my eyes out, it was so hideous, and Jack just isn't funny!

The standard so far has been dreadful. I really hope there are some better acts to come, otherwise I think I'll give the final a miss.

Yes, that was nauseating. And I'm a mother of two, so I'm not a child hater. but, UGH!

Simon should of had the balls to vote them out, Alesha and even Amanda showed more sense than him last night.

They have no chance of winning it anyway.

I am convinced that SC knows the top 3 before the results are given. He could be given the nod in the interval. A 35 year old dancer with so much energy and talent should have won 3-1 votes, but SC bottled it knowing that if he went too deadlock the screaming kids would go through. The final should be shown on CBBC on a Saturday morning , not as prime time TV on a Saturday evening.

I guess the fact that the precocious children had a huge number of parents, aunties and uncles, grandparents, teachers etc etc to vote for them, didn't make a difference?

This years BGT is starting to get tough to watch, especially as it is clearly not a fair fight.

That's sorted then.

Bring that back again and they can have as many kiddie acts as they want on there.

Leave BGT for over 18's.

The little kids were hyped up and overtired and don't have the emotional resources to deal with all of this. They certainly won't be able to cope with rejection very well when they do have to leave, and the further they progress through the harder it will be for them when they don't win. Children that age are not rational and I, personally, feel that it is too much to subject them to.

In my opinion I think a minimum age of 12, or even 14 would be sensible for this show.
