Why is the final on a week on Saurday?
Is this is a mistake. Its usually on the Saturday after the last Simon final isn't it? Why have they suddenly decided to change it?

Because thankfully there is football this saturday.
I just know how happy that will make Digital Spy, the board of football despisers

Maybe this weekend clashes with a Peppa Pig theme park open day and none of the acts would be able to attend a final

Cause it would be unfair for acts that go through tomorrow, they need time to practice

I does give all finalists a decent amount of time to rehearse. Rather than the 2 days that some usually get.

So a popular show is moved for yet another friendly, unimportant football match then?

I have always thought it was unfair that acts that got through on a Monday had 5 more days to rehearse their final performance than those that got through on the Friday. Plus, I think giving them a week to rehearse takes a LOT of the pressure off their(often young and fragile) shoulders. I'm all for the final being a week after the last semi. |

The 5th BGT semi final is on this Saturday... So the final is the Saturday after.

It works. It creates a talking point around the finalists next week (as people will be back at school/work. also, they've got more time to rehearse.

I still prefer the format of the first series to be honest, where everything was done and dusted in a week from rehearsels to the final, was much better then, but now it is too much of a cash cow.
And too all the people that says it it is unfair on the semi finalists who go on at the end of the week not too have too much time to prepare, you honestly think that all the acts dont have two acts already perfected once they get told they are in the semis, one for the semi and one for the final if needed. Besides most of the finalists are gonna be singers anyway, so not much rehearsing really needed is there, 6 acts in final and 4 of them are singing acts, I thought the voice was on bbc |

You don't think it's a bit too much to ask of someone (kids especially, who there are a lot of in this series) for them to be in such a pressurised situation potentially TWO nights in a row? I think giving them a week will give us a better final, and will actually build some anticipation.

So you'd like to see the final on this Sunday instead? Except it can't be because the football is meant to be on on Sunday, this is something that Simon Cowell can't be blamed for.

![]() ![]() On topic though, I agree that it's odd to have the final a whole seven days after the marathon semi's week. |

No but these matches have been planned for a while now, could have had last rehearsal show last saturday, then semi's on Sun/Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri and final on Saturday as per norm

Although I'm one of the minority on here who like BGT but prefer the football so its a good week for me
