The fixing of this show is getting obvious now
I said to the wife tonight as soon as amanda picked the dancer that if simon takes it to the public vote then it is because the kids have got the public vote, lo and behold the kids got through

Well, that's how it is. The producers pick their three favourites and screw over the rest, and all they can do is hope that everything plans out the way they hope for. But I don't think it's always gone the way they wanted (I'm certain they wanted Alice Fredenham in the final.)

I expected they'd get through because every BGT final needs a synchronised dance group, it would seem.
Now someone will point out at least one series final where there wasn't one!

At 1-1... I thought Simon wants deadlock... Being 'fairly sure' the kids would have the public vote... But he won't want to be seen voting against the little kids... So he'll make Amanda vote for the dancer.
By the way...Funny how Amanda and David have to mention Simon in every other breath. An exercise in 'job keeping'? |

![]() He didn't want a bunch of crying kids on his hands, so took the easy option knowing that the outcome would solve the problem in hand. I just knew that he wasn't going to vote for Joseph because he knew what kind of scenes that might entail. |

How does taking the decision to the public vote, mean its obvious the show is getting fixed.
If anything that would make it less obvious. |

Didn't you know that Cowell also fixes the phone vote as well?

The thing is why would BGT want a Voice reject to win their show , it will reflect badly on BGT . Confused . |

The attempted fixing and manipulating, careful editing, etc has always been obvious.

If Walliam hadn't started the vote with his usual inanities it is likely that Joseph would have got through. He sure as hell deserved to. Those kids were for the most part, totally bewildered and confused. How can it be right to inflict the final on them, or indeed, the kids on us. Mush as it grieves me to say it, for once Forsyth had it spot on when he said that there is no place for such young performers on live TV. |

Also, they weren't that good (compared with Diversity for example) the bland choreography was ignored just because they are short!

I don't like how Simon can just take it to deadlock to let the public decide. It defies the point of the judges being able to save someone, if they're just going to back to the vote. I thought this with the X Factor as well. I think they should have to vote like the Dancing on Ice judges do and lock their vote in without knowing how the other judges have voted. At least then they will have to make a decision, and there is a point to the judges being able to save an act. And if by chance, not intention, the judges vote two each, then use the public vote.

There's still the OPEN slot for them to select someone .
The thing is why would BGT want a Voice reject to win their show , it will reflect badly on BGT . Confused . In the event the public didn't like her so she will just float off into obscurity and no more will be said about her. |
