Last year i couldn't even stay interested in the final because of how boring it was, and this one is looking worse.

I haven't liked one act that has gone through so far. Despite not being a fan of Luminites i think they deserve a place in the final but everyone else are all a bit meh.

Freelusion were amazing again tonight and it's annoying that they didn't make the final, they were far better than Pre Skool, as was Joseph Hall. I also think Martin & Marielle should be in the final.

It's all become so damn boring........again. Kids and singers all going though. Kids are going through because everyone is thinking "oh they're kids they are so cute blah blah blah", and singers are going through because there are so many of them.

For me we haven't had a good final since 2010, my favourite didn't win that year but at least we had some brilliant acts.

I am just not looking forward to a final full of kids.

I was never against kids on the show, but I don't want to see them take over the show.

Same, the only thing that annoys me is that most of them seem to beat the people who have done better than them. It's pretty frustrating.

The kids that have gone through are the best out of all the kids in the competition. To be fair, you can't say the likes of Arisxandra, Jack and Gabz don't deserve to be in the final. Pre-Skool, however, I would have preferred to see Joseph ahead of them but there is a high chance now that he will be the wildcard.

We have acts like Francine, James More and Attraction coming up in the next two shows so if they all get through, that'll provide a bit of variety for us.

if anymore singers get through it probably will be a poor final but there is hope if francine and james more can go through tonight then attraction and steve hewlett tommorow. also agree about the kids pre school and youth creation never deserved top 3 but the other kids have been ok

Are there any children acts in the last semi-final?

I don't mind some of the kids, though I really didnt like that ones from last nite. Thought Joseph should have gone through.

Call me cynical though, but with all these kids going through its almost like Cowell putting the fingers up at Sir Bruce for daring to Criticise his show about the kids.

Though as I have said if Cowell wants kids on the show, then he needs to have balls to vote them out instead of taking the easy way out and going to deadlock.

Today's singing kids are tomorrows mediocre X Factor contestants

Although I like abit of BGT or X-Factor and I do find them good entertainment at times but this years BGT is total bollax. I'm finding it really difficult to watch this garbage, the first 3 semi finals have been either singers, dance acts or kiddie acts, none of them have been great and have seen it all before. The disabled lad telling jokes, its ok, its different, but when you hear david walliams saying 'you're a comedy genius' it just makes me turn off.

Not sustaining my interest at all this year, so I don't think the final is going to be that good. Too many singers, dancers and not enough variety. Some 14 year old comes on and sings a song and gets a standing ovation, a young lad comes on and starts juggling and its BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!

Well by the looks of things it is definitely going to be a poor final, i don't like a single act. Looks like this could be the first time i don't watch a BGT final, what would be the point watching something i won't enjoy ?

Tonight was a joke.......again. That impressionist was so overly praised it was ridiculous, i thought she sucked. If she didn't say who she was then i wouldn't have guessed most of them. Did anyone notice that she gave massive hints to who she was doing an impression of ?

The Magician should have gone through tonight and he didn't even make the top 3, it's so damn predictable and boring. I don't understand why the public vote for the same thing in every semi final, what's the point ?

Last year, and the year before that. Seriously compare the last 2 series of BGT final to the 2010 series then you will see how bad it's been the last couple of years. This years final is heading the same way.

It's partially the production team's fault and partially the public. I don't think the semi finals have been particularly stacked to see child acts go through but they've definitely been protecting some singing acts which will weaken the final when the time comes. The likes of Joseph Hall and James More would have offered something very different but the public deemed them not good enough when compared to either mediocre or something seen before.

BGT had one of its best ever ratings for the final last year. Everybody will moan because their favorites didn't make the final. Did you actually pick up the phone and vote?

Yes.

Also just because it had one of it's highest ratings ever it doesn't mean it was good.

No outstanding star. But you could say the same last series.

The ratings are what keeps the show afloat, but again you say that but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good final.last year the ratings say different.

Again, that doesn't mean it was good.

Let's use a football match as an example.

Say it's the World Cup final, it always brings in massive tv ratings, but does that mean it was a good final ? no it doesn't, the last 2 World Cup finals have hardly been what you would call a great football match.

I don't get who is voting for all these annoying kids? At least they will all split the 'ahh' vote.

I was just about to post how this final is shaping up to be the best since SuBo's year, everyone who has gotten through has been great though I would have liked the magician and Joseph Hall to have gone through

To be fair, not exactly. The 2010 final did better.

But it's hard to compare it because it was one 150-minute show as with 2010, compared to separate shows for all the other series.

All-in-all, singers or not, last year's final was great.

I don't see why people would label it the 'worst final', just because of a couple of singers. We had two singing acts in series 1, three in series 2, five in series 3, four in series 4 & 5, and 7 last year. We have five this year, but these five fully deserve to be there. Some people are just too bitter and it's almost hard to read this forum at times - nothing will please anyone will it?

But why do these 5 singers deserve to be there more than some other acts ? it's like singing has become the ultimate talent and nothing else compares to it.

But you're comparing it with other series of BGT as a benchmark.
5 this year is less than last year, but that doesn't mean that 5 singers is a good ratio.

Series 1 and 2 with two and three singers respectively sounds just about right to me.
Anything over three or four singers and it starts becoming less of a variety show.
I'd say that four should be the limit.
And they could do this if they seeded the semi-finals properly.

I meant that they deserved to be there out of the singers.

Keep in mind there is a semi-final tonight, and there is a wildcard. So, we could get three more variety acts going through, and that would make more than half not singers.
