Precisely. Simon knows that the majority of people at home will play right into his hands by voting for the kids, specifically the Pre-Skool act, because of the cute factor. I absolutely knew that they'd be put through to the final. Simon probably did as well. Nice way of making shed loads of money.

They've had loads of kids on the show since it began. Just being highlighted this year.

Simon Cowell probably has a mindset which thinks that popularity makes something right, even if it has nothing to do with the actual point made.

Even tonight he brought the children point up again and said that a kid either has 'got it' or they haven't.
Which is completely lacking acknowledgment about what the actual point made was about the children performers.
It had absolutely nothing to do whatsoever with whether they're good enough or not.

Even if the final was made of up 100% children it wouldn't make Simon Cowell more right and Bruce Forsythe more wrong.

To be fair, I don't think the semi finals have been stacked to favour the child acts so I do think Bruce's comments have had an impact on the public vote.

Will it be the first final though, that features, by my calculations, 50% kids acts and could be more if a further one is added with wild card.?

Cowell might want the kids to prove a point but long term he doesn't want a kiddie act winning...with legal & child labour laws they won't make him much money in the long run.

What Bruce actually said was that there should be a show especially for talented youngsters. With the amount going through, looks like he was right!
