Why don't the judges like judging??

Every night same old.
"Well it's so difficult to choose, I hate this part blah di blah"
If you don't like having to judge/decide who goes through then pack it in and let someone else do it who will make difficult decisions.
The old boys act and the cackling pair seem only to wish to make the old cliche ridden comments about the acts and receive their huge pay checks for preening themselves in public.

I think they are mostly incapable of judging. Simon is proven to be good at judging music (what sells) with his A&R background. The others have no real qualification to judge anything at all, hence why they are unable to do it. If I was a talented performer I would be fairly disgruntled if my future lay in what appears to be the whim of any of the other 3 'judges'.

Even worse, why don't they make honest comments instead of pointless platitudes?

As an example, in SCD, many people disliked Craig Revel-Horwood but at least he was always (brutally) honest with the majority of his comments.

Listing to Walliams making the same inane comments week after week is beyond irritating. Very much a one-trick pony - or better, a no-trick pony.

Alesha has the virtue of being able to make some occasional genuine comments.

Amanda, for the first timer in my recollection did, last night give an honest opinion on one act - 'crap' said it all really. And it applied to other acts equally of course if pnly she had had the courage.

Cowell spends so much time trying to be all things to all people that he seems to be losing the plot. His comments, which most if not all contestants listen to more than any others should be more considered.

With Alice, for example, he said her voice was 'liquid gold', he later upgraded that to 'liquid platinum' - did he really mean that? If he did he could easily offer her a recording contract. There are countless examples of judge double-speak.

I like David, and he's entertaining so he kinda makes up for it imo. I wouldn't want a whole judging panel of Davids, but he works imo as someone who enjoys the fun acts

To me, the biggest problem is Simon. There's nothing genuine about his comments anymore imo. I know after a while, you must run out of things to say but I can often predict his comments before he says them.

I used to really like him - and if you watch old clips on youtube you can see just how good a judge he used to be.
