Okay, huge apologies for the vagueness of this post, but does anyone remember the name of a programme that was on in the last ten years which featured different bits of old black and white films with silly voices then dubbed over the top of them? The voices may have been by Chris Barrie and a few others.... sorry for the vagueness of the description

I'd totally forgotten about this series, I used to love it! It was brilliant, really funny. I'd love to see it again, so I may have to have a peek on YouTube. Thanks for bringing it to our attention

The programme that featured the dubbed Flashing Blade was called On the Waterfront, a kids Saturday morning show with Andrew O'Connor and Kate Copstick.

I think On The Waterfront did another comic dub of another foreign production

I recall they changed the programme because (believe it or not) they got a flood of angry letters from TFB fans complaining about the changing of their programme!
