What on earth are you on about?
Dunno , just wandered onto this post and it all kicked off I guess. Just a bit unlucky.

Asanda probably doesn't need BGT as much as some of the others. She's surely going to have a successful future regardless.

You see we just wouldn't get this praise if it was a white girl with the same ability.
LOL WTF?

She's got a great voice and I think its great to see someone with confidence in her awesomeness... Confidence should be encouraged and embraced, not criticised.

She sang Halo really well but I think how cocky she is will put people off her. She's 11 and already acts like some big diva, not nice. Her parents need to tell her to knock it down a notch
She has talent no doubt about it but when she walked off stage with all that attitude thing - I don't think she realises that people find that annoying. She's only 11 and she'll think people will find her cute and confident. The attitude thing will definitely annoy people.

It's like saying "I know I'm brilliant and everyone is telling me I'm brilliant so you have to like me".

Well actually no we don't.

Hopefully her parents will buy her some new DVD's and she can then carry on copying and showing off .

Something very uncomfortable about watching such an over-confident little girl.

She's a good singer but her warbling and annunciation were dreadful.
Confidence is good, but she is 11, and I find it uncomfortable watching a child strutting around like an adult.

Record career? Last thing she needs is for her childhood to be taken away from her.
This is what we were thinking and Charlotte Church springs to mind when she sang Pi Jesu on Breakfast TV aged 11.

Too much too soon and something has to give sooner or later.

Well, her parents seem determined for that to happen... all in the pursuit of money no doubt.

Totally agree, Princess, however there is a mentality in this country that confidence in ones own abilities is something to be ridiculed rather than embraced. It's a shame to see the vehemence in some of the posts I've witnessed regarding her.

I don't have a problem with people not liking her voice but some of the posts on another thread are close to the mark. What sort of human being wishes for pain to be inflicted onto a child? Nobody I'd want to associate with that's for sure.

I didnt watch her but was in the room when she was on, so just listened to her, it was OMG but OMG dire, it was as someone put it this week, a child singing to herself in the mirror.

She has potential but letting her sing these huge songs with little voice training is going to ruin her voice before she starts.

She has the 11 year old cute factor with a voice that is nothing more than an average adult singer has, so to progress from the very wobbly vocal of yesterday, she has a long road to travel. I hope she gets knocked back for her own sake, to learn the ropes, to strengthen her voice and to try and be a bit humble as she is verging on precocious/obnoxious.

There's no denying she has an incredible voice for her age but there's a fine line between confidence and cockiness and she definitely crosses it. Not keen.
No, she wasn't cocky at all, she was showing that she owned the stage. You're getting cocky and confidence completely mixed up.

That seems to be the case from some of the posts in this thread. She's got confidence, not cockiness. I'm guessing that fans like to see their idol behaving as if they own the stage. If you don't take that confidence to extreme levels, the audience will likely get a bit bored. You have to keep them entranced.
