No it annoyed me when he was overtly camp. I wanted to shout at the screen "yes we know you are gay"!

I think Channel 5 at the beginning, were caught between wanting a totally fresh start with a presenter who couldn't immediately be compared to Davina, or wanting a presenter who could be compared to Davina but good at her job.

I don't know if they ever intended Brian Dowling to be a long term fixture as host. I thought it was bizarre Emma was put on BOTS and Brian on the main show. So would have put it the other way around.

I won't miss Brian at all. I did cringe a lot when he was presenting. I'm sorry. I wanted to but I just didn't warm to him.

Brian always seemed to me to be uncomfortable as the host and I didn't enjoy watching him. I won't miss him but he's likeable enough - just not great as the BB presenter imo.

I'll miss his love for the show but that's about it.

He Made Big Brother on C5 a cheese Fest his interviewing skills were very poor, his interaction with the viewers was poor and his stupid poses he did for the promo takes and the live shows were Cringe worthy.

In my opinion Big Brother should have always had a Female Presenter as it suits it better Emma is going to be a great host for the New BB.

I think Emma is more suited to presenting BB but I will miss him a bit, would have liked him to be on BOTS in some shape or form.

I really don't like Emma, so this is a bad move as far as I'm concerned.

I voted 'No', yet I feel if one or two, or perhaps a few, changes could have been made then he wouldn't be considered all that bad. The overly irritating campness of him did start to grate on me as a viewer over time, though it was funny at first. His skills as a presenter were also more suited to Bit On The Side, which, in my opinion, he should be presenting - not Rylan. Rylan should be a panelist at best.

However, on these notes, I think Brian and Channel 5 on the whole have delivered the eviction speeches well, and far better than Davina and Channel 4 ever did. I loved the tension that Channel 5 play into. The eviction speech Brian gives is brilliant in my opinion, for example: "Lydia...Deana...Your time has come. For the last five days the Great British public have been voting to save. I can now reveal the housemate with the fewest votes and who is the second to leave the Big Brother House is...". Also, the countdown to a housemate leaving the house is enjoyable too. Long may the speech and the hype on eviction nights continue under the far more capable Emma.

I thought Big Brother 13 was brilliant, and I have every hope Big Brother 14 may be even better.

No way, never liked the guy... Go emma

I will, he knows the show from the inside as a housemate. I can't see why he gets the hostility, he is a genuine guy and nice. Can't stand Emma Willis, she thinks it is her show. But more people fancy her than they did Brian so putting eye candy top of the list would be in keeping with channel 5.

True - all his charm seemed to fly out the window when he was presenting and I think he was too self-involved and unable to relax.

Won't know for a while.

Brian was no great shakes, but if Emma makes a horse's ass of it (and it is possible no matter how experienced she is as BB is something of a tough gig to get "right"), who knows, maybe I (we) will miss him?

he was a great HM but not good as a presenter unfortunately.
He is better in a spontaneous role.

No.......but, I do feel sorry for him. Was that his only gig ?

Amazing, that someone so very endearing in BB could be such a wooden presenter......
