"Myles, Kurt would call you kilometers..."

Did anyone else think this line was just comic genius? This has got to be my favourite apprentice quote of all time, in a show known for an abundance of funny quotes!

I don't believe for an instance that LS comes up with these lines off the cuff . I bet these are edited in later, probably from some comic writers in the production team.

I remember one candidate telling us that the boardroom grilling goes on far longer then we get to see, he said mainly down to the fact that LS was not happy with his responses .

Did anyone see Kurt's face? He was like "WTF is that biddy going on about?".

Bit on bold: you're absolutely right. It's the script-writers that come up with the puns.

Yeah it was deffo edited to give him a lightbulb moment when he worked out they were both measurements.

And as someone else said: LAS "If I asked for 20 camels, you'd bring me back a pack of cigarettes" was another classic. Funniest boardroom of the series so far.

Shugs has done about 50 'gags' already this series, so the stopped clock theory suggested one of them would work sooner or later.

Good gag though, so well done to whoever wrote it for him*.

*anyone who has ever seen his Twitter feed will know that wit is not Shugs' strong point...
Purple.

Normally I hate LS's attempts at making a joke, but that did make me laugh

I thought it was a very clumsy and contrived attempt at humour and doesn't really follow on from what happened with Kurt .

Most of the jokes are so poor, it is hard to believe they are professionally scripted, or that The Apprentice production budget runs to a specialist gag-writer.

I thought it followed on perfectly with what happened with Kurt. When Kurt got inches and centimetres mixed up he mixed up the Imperial system (inches) with the metric system (centimetres). Miles is imperial, kilometres is metric, so therefore Kurt might call Miles kilometres

Nothing kills a joke than to spell it out to the very last letter.

It made me laugh. It was one of my favourite Lord Sugar gags. It took a few seconds for Kurt to get it

I going to kill it even further

The reason I say it was clumsy was that Myles did not know how to convert inches to cms so the joke doesn't follow.

Yep, that's about done it- I think it's well and truly dead now!

Well, after nine series, there had to be one mildly amusing line eventually.
