Indeed, Brown Girl in the Ring later became played in place of Rivers of Babylon. Regarding POTP I think it is unprecedented for Tony to play the same song again after just 9 weeks, as he played it as recently as May 18th.

I haven't heard this Showaddywaddy number on the radio for a while either. Funnily enough I was listening to 'I Wonder Why' on the mp3 player when I went for my morning stroll over the beach this morning.”

This lyric comes from their previous hit She's So Modern, which was my fave Rats song apart from the later Banana Republic.
Tameside Radio played some songs from summer '78 in The Show That Time Forgot this afternoon, including A Little Bit of Soap.

I know that spoof on the Barron Knights' A Taste of Aggro from that Christmas. It also included their answer "We're from Catford ain't we, eh?". I even remembered this when I changed buses in Catford 3 weeks ago!
