I'm posting on the right thread David, have you been on the sherry now? Two smiley faces!
What ever you have been drinking, please send some up here. This thread is about Pick of the Pops. If I am wrong I am too sober.

Was great to hear Dana, my fave Xmas song that is criminally ignored by radio now.
I enjoyed hearing it and agree it is hopelessly ignored by radio. I did contact a request show to hear it in the run-up to Christmas and they did play it.

Of course The Goodies should have been played, they were rather......er, good! They are an integral part of the mid 1970's and deserve hearing. This is after all what POTP is meant to be about, playing such hits and not re-treading through all the obvious candidates. David you should know that. I'm not sure taste comes into it.

Really enjoying this UK v USA chart but to be honest the disappointment so far is how many already well known UK hits are in it and getting played. It barely feels Stateside so far, although the top end should change that I think.
I was pleased to hear Make a Daft Noise for Christmas. Christmas is a time for happiness & novelty, and this is in fact my favourite song of theirs.

Welcome back to Radio 2 Tony Blackburn - sounding absolutely sensational so far this New Year's Eve.
I listened in but have a confession to make.

Spoiler

The "Official Charts Company" currently has a listing on its website of all the UK songs which stalled at Number 11 (and therefore just failed to become Top 10 hits) which is quite interesting.
I understand Tony will be doing some Bank Holiday shows again. So, maybe songs that peaked at no 11 would be a good theme?

It'll be a lovely day for a Daytrip to Bangor.
