I thought Tony was a great listen on Radio 1 when I was just 11 to 15 years old (1980-1984), so why wouldn't that age now I wonder. He's the same after all, infact better! Annie Nightingale has always an avid music fan and always moved with the times. Tony Blackburn did reinvent himself a bit in the Radio London years but he was pretty out of touch even back then outside the Soul Genre. His constant moans about bands like The Jam and not knowing how to pronounce Duran Duran certainly showed he was out of touch.
