Good afternoon, and good love! For me, January 1982 and these songs also remind me of it being a month of constantly dodging PE lessons without an absence note. Have you got a good note to explain your absence?

I always really like 'Spirits in the Material World' along with 'Invisible Sun'. Think I was a sucker for depressing Police songs!! Lol

He he. Fast forward to 1984 Rich when I had to do trampoline at PE! I got out of it as I'd just got glasses!

Fantastic!

Tommy Vance was one of the very best chart show presenters on Radio 1, as well as Tony of course.

Trouble was if you skived PE back in 1982 without a legit note from your parents then come the end of the lesson you'd just sat out, they still made you step into the shower like the rest, as you couldn't forget that kit! So not all was lovely in January 1982 after all. These songs really do bring some schooldays aspects to the fore quite vividly.

Such a bizarre key change during Wedding Bells. Never to this day know if it was deliberate or accidental.

Yep, I reckon it was deliberate. Those Godley and Creme guys were crafty with a tune...(Under Your Thumb).

Always liked 'I'll find my way Home'. Steady climb up the chart from '81 into '82. I still think of it more from Christmas 1981.

Jon & Vangelis, I'll Find My Way Home.

This is one of the best songs of all time to me. It actually sounds like the severe cold frost and snow of January 1982 in its wonderful production. So great a song and memory of the time that it brings a lump to my throat.

Ahh - Dollar in their time with Trevor Horn...
I MISS master-mixes with plenty of headspace unlike the brickwalling you get nowadays..

Wonderful. Was that around this point in time, or later?

You lucky so and so. I bet she was no disappointment. She still sounded so sweet recently on Sounds Of The 80's.
