Good afternoon pop pickers!

What is the context of that chart above Al? Fluff in the 90's or an original 60's broadcast? I'll have to check if I have it myself if 90's.

Del Shannon took his life on this very day in 1990. My mum has quite a few of his hits.

No wonder you threw me with your "wiped" 1965 listing and mention of Alan Freeman. It's because you are posting TOTP show listings on POTP...?

Got into the process off the Facebook POTP page. Collated it all together...

Ah - Portsmouth- didn't Legs and Co dance in the Blue Peter Garden to this one?

2012, the new 1977 to some of us because of BBC4. That is why the moment I heard New Kid In Town I immediately recalled the Legs & Co routine to it, some kind of cowboy wild west thing.

No it was Champs Boys - Tubular Bells in July 1976 - Tony making a total hash of introducing it

Ahhh - I think Flick had them attempt reels to Ports, though.

Ahh - off Deceptive bends - 10cc..

Tony may have joked, but I wonder if Portsmouth was a bigger seller in the Southampton/Portsmouth area because of its title? Probably not common sense tells me.

So many tunes from '77 are reminding me of Legs & Co routines so far. Even the Elvis track!

Ohhh - remember Bobby's crap singing and adlibbing and Pearson's cackhanded arrangement of the backing? Jan 1977 - goes down in the history, that one. And recently aired on Yesterday

Yeah I remember it being on a Diddy hosted show - they'd got a parrott called Chalky!

Love 10cc and Boney M

Funny how this was Silver Jubilee year but we are all reminiscing about it from Diamond Jubilee year.

Noel Edmonds thought that Thin Lizzy track was going to maybe be a No1 at the time, saying so on TOTP.

Only 2 years to go on the TOTP repeats (if we get that far) before Barry Biggs makes a surprise return.

Tony liked it...really? Compared to Stevie Wonder? Being polite surely! It was a workmanlike cover, no more.

If David Parton could manage No4 then I wonder if Stevie Wonder had done it instead, he might have got his first solo No1 single a lot quicker than he did, as he was charting highly in 1977.

Glad Tony played this, Dave Campbell swerved it on Magic last week. Shameful behaviour Dave
