Sean broke his ankle running away from Bob a while back, but in the next few episodes he was dashing about just fine.
That puzzled me, I've broken a few bones in my time, but none have ever healed themselves overnight.

Then there is Sandy, who was too old & infirm to even get out of bed for a jimmy-riddle when Ashley was bullying the old soak - yet a few episodes later he was legging it to the pub to boom about organising search parties & whatnot.

Lastly we have Chas - a woman so tough she'd take on any bloke that misbehaved in her pub - yet she's terrified of a six-stone stick insect called Debbie.

A farm with no dog and pale soft furnishings and carpets.

If you remember a few years ago, John was run into the ground managing the farm, yet now he is dead they seem to be able to run it absolutely no problem at all.

I agree about the sweet factory, the way that the 'workers' can have time off at the drop of a hat.. Why are they hand filling jars and boxes ?

Debbie - no more needs to be added !

Edna's money troubles have suddenly disappeared - also where is Tootsie ? ....and Marlon's dog

Diane - where is she. How can she just up sticks and leave a business ?

The Spencers being in Rachel's house while Rachel has moved out, seriously that wouldnt happen

Gemma just wandering around the village at any opportunity when she doesn't live there (yet)

I could go on

A bit of time has passed, is there anymore?

James Barton was really down on his luck, so much so he had to boycott his farm and move into Moiras. When there he used all his "contacts" to help Moira's farm. Why didnt he just call these in at his own farm

Belle, Gemma and Sean all at school together in the same year. Sean has now left school and is in the army. Belle is still at school

Debbie living in "the Vicarage".

Laurel becoming an alcoholic overnight.

Aaron and Adam. Scrap Kings Of Yorkshire within a month

Also Home Farm is seen as a "business" but what do they actually do there?

I've always been puzzled by how over the years the number of houses in the village has gradually declined without anyone noticing. There's an old map of the village (from before the plane crash when it was called beckindale ) and there are twice as many houses as there are in the current show including a school house.

According to the helpful wiki that lists all buildings to ever have exist in emmerdale and who lived in them one row of houses called demdyke row was destroyed in the plane crash and never rebuilt, another row of houses behind the cemetary disappeared without explanation and is assumed to have also been destroyed in the plane crash and the old school building became the current church after Zoe Tate burnt down the old one.

But there should still be a lot more houses that have just disappeared. There is also meant to be another pub in the village called the malt but we never see it . Itv have done such a good job on their current map of the village of accounting for each and every building that they have created a mystery of the missing malt.

BIB1: Presumably James' farm was in too bad a state for him to make use of his contacts and he didn't have the manpower to do what was necessary. Moira's farm is in a much better position to make use of the contacts. It's a shame there isn't more on the day to day running of the farm because I would find it quite interesting to watch.

BIB2: Belle has been held back a year after going to prison and the phsychiatric hospital after, presumably, failing her exams. Sean didn't go to any of his exams and applied to the army instead and left shortly after exam time.

BIB3: I'm sure the vicarage stopped being the vicarage after Ashley was removed from his position, it was just a house in the village that was rented by the church for the vicar. At least that is what was said when Laurel had to move out and into Marlon's.

.
This really confused me. Is Belle supposed to be 15 or 16? Only very recently have they said she's to be held back a year - making it sound like she's supposed to be still there in her current year.

When she came out of "prison" everybody was talking about her "getting back to school" with no mention that the school year had finished and that she'd actually finished school.... whereas Sean was just free to leave and join the army? I'm sure I remember Sean doing really well in his exams too, giving him the choice of going to college... but he chose the army instead.

!!

I'm sure they were both supposed to be doing their GCSE's only Sean kept missing his because of Belle and his Uncle made him want to join the army. I'm sure someone commented and said you need GCSE's to join the army so it was stupid.

Presumably Belle was supposed to be moving onto sixth form? But perhaps her exam results were not as good as expected (after the stress of killing Gemma and a murder trial) and after missing more than six months of school she is allowed to redo year 11 and her GCSE's.

Emmerdale never goes into specifics with these things and I do find it irritating to have to read between the lines sometimes, I'm sure Belle turned 16 at Christmas - though if I'm correct she would have had to stay on until sixth form to leave school anyway because she wasn't 16 yet or should have been in a lower year to Sean. And now I have confused myself.

Did Belle ever skip a year because she was so smart?

Sean wasn't interested in college. I think it was partly to do with Belle after she turned him down, he loved her and didn't want to be around her anymore.
