What housemates do you want and not want?

I would like to see some more itellegent housemates this year and less 'Towie' type people.

I think it's always fun to have two stong female characters to cause drama.

What about everyone else

I would like complete opposites, for example a Tory campaigner and a EDL campaigner. A very camp gay guy and a homophobic etc, not just for the arguments but for maybe they could learn and take something from one another from the experience of the show.

I would like a good MIX of housemates. I don't mind a couple of the Towie types, but not a whole house of them. The earlier series did a better job of mixing it up.

I'd like a couple in their teens, a few in their 20s, a few in their 30s, and one or two older.

But I'd imagine we'll have a few in the teens and loads in their early 20s. Maybe a token 30 something.

A mix of people really and maybe some like everyone off the valleys

I don't want one of those who desperately tries to come across as a harmless and good-natured cheeky chappy, only to reveal a rather nasty petulant side who has a high opinion of themself, thinks they're god's gift to the show and resents anyone that prohibits them from being the camera-hogging attention-seeker they are.

I got this from Charlie bb10 and Conor bb13 as soon as their entrance VTs came on, and they ended up being just as awful as I thought they would be. Even though I hoped they wouldn't.

I'd love some one like Mario from 2008, Marcus from 2009, Charley from 2007.

Housemates with a modicum of intelligence will suit me. Also, I cannot stand housemates who use swearwords ALL the time. That just shows a lack of education IMO.

They can only cast the show from the people that apply. I'd imagine it's quite hard to fill the house with terribly intelligent folk given that they probably don't apply to appear on tacky C5 reality show by the dozen.

Likewise, it's probably quite hard to keep the "TOWIE" types out, as they're exactly the kind of people who will line up around the block to appear on a tacky C5 reality show.

It's BB - the house will be crammed full of knobheads and dipshits. But it'll most likely be a bit of a giggle, so what more do you want?

I like this idea!

(well apart from this small detail:

That experiment would interest me more if the gay guy wasn't a raving stereotype.

I would like some older people [over 50] just coz ever since BB ,moved to ch5 they've all been under 35 and the house has missed a mother/father figure

I would also like someone who is gay but not in your face gay if u know what I mean. i'm a bit bored of BB putting in people like Marcus [BB5] who the second he opens his mouth you know he's gay and he's so in your face and jumps around everywhere. I would like someone like my godfather was [who I loved and miss dearly] who's gay and can have their moments but is also calm and not overly animated 24/7

I completely agree with this, especially the need for an older housemate or housemate(s). The young housemates simply cannot be entertaining all of the time, in my opinion. You need the older ones to bring a different conversation, something else, to the show.

Didn't they have that with BB5's Marco and Ahmed?

Yep, the first two to enter the house and greet eachother. lol

As a law student Marco didn't seem fond of asylum seekers either, so it was a two-way street as far as their rivalry was concerned.

Although (in typical Jungle Cat style) Ahmed viewed it as some sort of epic battle of the ages, while Marco simply found Ahmed annoying.

As much as some people might disagree with this. I would take another Conor if it means this time we get some one who can stand up to said housemate. Shame Benedict left when he did.

Just for a change, a couple of non stereotypical lesbians plus bisexuals.

I'd like a few people that don't think playing dumb is the key to success.

People that have opinions, but aren't opinionated to the point of "nanana I've my fingers in my ears and can't hear you over the noise of me being right".

A couple of geeks maybe would be interesting, not they look like geeks, but are actual geeks. I'd find two people banging on about who was the best Dr Who a squillion times more interesting than listening to people banging on about how they had a w**k.
