Digital Street - Episode 10
This episode is an hour long and is very detailed but please do read it regardless of it being long, it isn't boring
The episode begins with the song ‘I Need Your Love’ by Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding playing in the background. Firstly we can see Tracy walking out of the hospital with a bag in her hand as she makes her way back to Digital Street. She stares at the pub before entering and immediately Glenda hugs her. Next we can see Alex cooking over a stove, tasting the food as he goes along. Coming up behind Alex, Josh kisses him and the two move away from the stove. Finally we can see Scarlett in Luke’s arms as the music fades away. Scarlett gets up and suggests to Luke that they finally get out of the shed – much to Luke’s dismay. Luke shrugs and says that they can continue being like this until they get caught out. Scarlett lies down again and rolls over to the opposite side of where Luke is.
Sighing, she takes a deep breath and cannot understand why Jordan would punch her. When it all adds up, she realises she’s a prisoner here and gets up again, running straight away. Luke follows her and stops her, telling her that she can’t possibly leave. Luke kisses her on the lips but Scarlett pulls away and runs straight home. Banging on the door, she cries for help and Tyler opens the door, comforting his sister. Sobbing for help, he takes her in the lounge where Jason emerges and hugs his daughter. Scarlett tells the two everything and Jason storms out, pulling out a gun. All he shouts is “Where is Luke?” as he walks down the street. Scarlett pulls him back and tells him he can’t kill Luke but Jason insists and carries on. Scarlett starts crying again and its adamant that she cares for him.
At Josh's house, Mia is sat on the couch when Alfie runs into her arms. She picks him up and instantly he says “Daddy!” which makes Mia confused. Mia puts him beside her and asks why is he saying that. Alfie says he saw Daddy and Mia peers in Alex’s bedroom from afar where he can see Josh reading a book. Mia then recalls showing a picture of Josh and telling Alfie that was Daddy. Mia tells Alfie to stay seated as she walks into the bedroom, shutting the door. Grabbing a chair near her, she sits on it and watches Josh shift about. When he closes the book, he gets up and notices Mia.
There’s a moment of silence but Mia breaks it. “He knows,” she says bluntly but Josh is confused and thinks she’s told Alex. He starts banging his head across the wall and cries, realising that if Alex ever knows, it will be the end of them. “And he called you Daddy,” Mia says. Josh then realises that she means Alfie and he turns around. He sighs and slumps near Mia. Josh tells Mia that she cannot tell Alex because it would mean that he betrayed him but Mia thinks that he should know. The pair begin arguing and it’s clear that they won’t ever agree on the right solution. Mia asks Josh for cash in favour of her silence but Josh bides his time and tells her that he’s broke. Mia starts smirking and stands up, fixing her hair. “I’ll have to tell him then,” she smiles and Josh immediately gets up.
“How much?” he asks. Mia starts counting her fingers and says,” Fifty grand and I’ll get out of here.” Josh gulps and refuses and starts to leave the room when Mia stops him. “Or you sleep with me.” Her eyes twinkle and Josh gasps. “I’m gay. Please Mia, I can't do this to Alex! You'll have to leave." and he ushers her out. They begin shouting at each other and Josh gives in, feeling sick. The two undress each other and lie down on the bed. Alfie is sat on the couch so Mia snuggles up to Josh but he pushes her away. The door is wide open when Katie, Josh’s wife lets herself in and gets the shock of her life. “Josh?” she asks, looking at Mia and Josh. “It’s not what it looks like,” Josh whimpers.
Tracy puts her bag down on her bed and starts to relax on the bed but stops when she hears the door handle being turned. Fearing for the worst, she grabs a cushion to protect herself. When the door opens fully, Paul is stood there smirking and holds a gun in his hand. Immediately Tracy starts backing up and tries to climb out of the roof when Paul grabs her by the throat, strangling her in the process. Tracy makes a muffled noise and tries to get away but Paul blocks her path and threatens to kill her if she tells anyone about what has just happened. He finally lets her but she barely reaches the door when he triggers the gun, pulling it back and shooting her in the process. Tracy’s body falls down and Paul carries her down to the basement where he lies her down as she awakens. Her eyes open and she’s confused.
A light is visible from afar and she recalls that she’s in the pub’s basement where it is empty and quiet. Paul sits next to her and squeezes her hand tight, informing her that she has to stay here and can only move if he tells her so. He gives her a bucket and climbs up the stairs, shutting the door behind him and locking it. A terrified Tracy throws the bucket angrily and starts shouting. She can hear Paul shouting at her, “You can’t get out. Oh well!” before he walks off laughing. Tracy sobs and wonders where her life went wrong. She comes to a halt and knows that Paul ruined her life. At that moment, blood pours out of her stomach and she looks down and sees that she has been stabbed. Tracy runs up to the door, banging on it ferociously demanding to be let out. But it is no use as nobody can hear her...
Tracy walks away from the door and to the only chair in the basement as she can hear Glenda speaking to Paul about Tracy. Tracy perks up and thinks Paul tells her about Tracy being in the basement but instead he says he doesn’t know and Tracy cries again, distraught that she may not be able to get out ever.
