Totally agree King Oli - but if he does get into the top 3 with either Jordan or Aliki he doesn't stand a chance as the singers both got at least 1 judge on their feet. This will be a genuine tragedy as Steve/ Arthur / Simon is easily one of the best acts this week. There's no justice. I hope I am so wrong.

No point in even discussing who will win, but 2nd and 3rd starting to look pretty clear. Just a case of which judges would vote Jordan and who would vote Steve.

It takes a lot for me to find ventriloquists funny.
I find funny ventriloquists to be quite rare.
So I really hope that the judges don't pi55 this opportunity down the drain, because funny ventriloquists with good material and a class comedy act don't come around that often.

It's worth bearing mind that the judges could actually vote in his favour because they've already got 5 singing acts in the final at the moment, plus a wildcard option if they really want another singer badly enough.

I agree. I think most people agree that Attraction are a class act. But we feel confident that they'll get through if not actually win the competition outright.
But I think people are getting behind Steve more because we feel that he needs the support more in face of the judges undying obsession with singers and dancers.
Fingers crossed here for Steve Hewlett and Attraction to go through.

That's not me bigging myself up, more the ridiculous predictability of knowing how each show will pan out, even down to the judges scorecard.
At least he didn't go out to a 12 year old or someone with no talent at all.
Small comfort though, Steve was the better act in every way and Jordan, good as he is, will add nothing to the final.

I hope he gets through, but even if he doesn't, he can surely make it on his own, Jeff Dunham should look out as he has competition now!

I really wanted Steve to go through, I agree Attraction deserved to go through too, shame for Steve he was in their semi final. I too thought the judges should have chosen the variety act over the singer, I don't understand why singers go on BGT and not the X Factor.
I saw Steve on stage as part of a Christmas show a few years ago and always hoped to see him again, so was pleased he got through to the semi finals. And I loved the Simon puppet, thought that was a brave but brilliant thing to do. Hope he gets the wildcard vote.

BIB - probably because on the Xfactor you will be made to sing all sorts of genres of music - disco , rock , ballads, as well as dance. On BGT you can more or less stick to your 1 style of singing whether it be gospel , folk, opera, musicals etc. Agree about how sad it is that Steve did not get through - I don't think I have ever seen so much DS support for 1 act. Hope Cowell gets to see what we as a forum think of his spineless decision tonight.

It's just a shame that both acts lost out to Simon Cowell's wretched obsession with singers.

I loved mini-Simon, although the puppet did look a bit like it was cobbled together at the last minute, using an old spitting image head - a pink politician with a drink problem perhaps, with some stuck on hair and teeth!
