Anyone else see Jordan looking for Simon's sympthy vote?

I was pleased that for the first night ever, neither of the top 3 acts were stood there begging for votes or looking sad, but then as soon as Steve got a 2-1 lead over Jordan, Jordan clasped his hands together and held his down and looked at his feet, as if to say he was about to break down if he didn't get through. I also had the impression that Simon would've sent Steve through to the final as his comments seem to suggest that he was going to, but then after Jordan's little sympathy gesture he ended up sending Jordan through.

Dd anyone else see this or was it just me?

Yes I noticed that. It's such a shame Steve didn't get through, his act was very good, and funny. Also didn't want yet another singer to get through esp when the singing is nothing special.

Such a ridiculous thread. Simon would never have chosen Steve regardless of who was in the top 3. He said earlier in the night he doesn't like that type of act and that he was merely better than he expected, no major compliment. Quit the Jordan bashing people. If people thought Steve was that fantastic they should have voted more for him.

Made no difference whether he did that or not. Simon cares about money and there is no way he would have not voted for Jordan.

Another good point - he promised much but just didn't deliver on the night.

Oh dear, what a pathetic thread. He was just passionate and really wanted to go through, he didn't 'beg'

As if Simon would act on Jordan's pleading...

Funny how when Asanda did this everyone jumped on it, but now it's a good looking young adult no one cares.

Yip I noticed that too OP. I thought he murdered the song. It was painful!

I disagree. Simon told Jordan that he was 'terrific'.
But all Steve got was a 'You've done well'.

Those comments speak volumes about what Simon likes and doesn't like.

What a strange thing to say. Obviously his fans did vote a lot to get him to the top 3, it's not like they knew how much Jordan's fans were voting so could counter that, is it?

Get over it, Jordan was better, he got more votes, the public wanted him in the final. End of

I don't think it changed Simon's mind, as he's not one for taking risks. He likes to think he is but singing is what Simon knows and it's the type of act he can milk for all its worth more easily.

I agree; it was so patronising and made it clear which way he was going to go.

I don't think thats why he chose Jordan. Simon clearly prefers singers.
