First Week Twist - My Idea
Barracute
02-06-2013
Ok so this is my idea and what i would do if i was BB !!

The hms are split in to two teams (thats pretty much going to happen anyway with two launch nights), who will compete against each other in a series of mini tasks over the first weekend - the housemates will be told that the prize at stake for the winning team is immunity from the first public vote, with the losing team set to face the public vote - BUT - that is a lie, haha!! As the housemates will find out when the task is up and BB reveals a secret with a very nasty twist. Once the task is over and BB has revealed which team has won (and so they think!) are immune from the public vote - BB will ask for one member of the winning team to come to the diaryroom. Only when they have entered the DR (with the rest of the house watching on the plasma) will BB reveal to everyone that they have lied and no one is safe (or guaranteed to face the vote) YET. The unfortuate housemate in the DR will then be given the final part of the task - they can swap one member of the winning team with a member of the losing team (so just to be clear the chosen winning team member will face the vote whilst the chosen losing team member will be safe!) ...... and just to add a little extra encouragement should they need it, BB will announce that should the hm in the DR refuse or be unable to choose then they will face the vote along with all of the losing team!! An evil dilemma - put up a winning team member (who thought they were safe) in exchange for saving a losing team member (who thought they were up) - or face the vote themself!!!!

Secrets and lies indeed!

This would be fine if you were working on the programme, but you are not.

I assume the launch will be very similar to that of Series 9 of Big Brother Australia, where the women entered through a 'parlour' on launch night (instead of the main house) and are given the task of discovering the male housemates secrets in the first week - to earn immunity. They will then enter the main house on the Friday. So, 'parlour' on Thursday, and Friday they will enter the main house. However, my best bet is that the twist is - whilst the male housemates know they have secrets waiting to be discovered, they can choose to spread lies around the house to try and stop their fellow female housemates from earning immunity. Thereby, the Secrets and Lies theme will work wonders here, and this would explain the reason for no eviction in the week after the launch, as the male housemates will get the chance to discover the females secrets in the following week. I just hope I'm right because that idea above doesn't sound half bad too me.
