Seen as their is always threads on what's the best and what's the worst Big Brother. What about having one of what Big Brother do you find is really underrated. That isn't really given enough credit by fans in your opinion.

I have to go with BB4, its always seen as the worst or in the bottom 3. But after looking back on it over the last few months, I feel its very much underappreciated maybe it doesn't have screaming fights or OTT Housemates many like in their BB. But for me, I loved the laidback feel of it even back then the first few weeks were actually a lot of fun. Losing Anouska in the first week looking back was a bit of a shame cause I think she could have bought a lot of fun to the house.

Federico and Jon don't get enough love for been great Housemates, the failing of Tasks cause of Federico after they always put 100% per cent into them and how he always felt bad about it. Plus how he loved to wind people up was always good fun. Jon, who looking back wasn't as bad as I taught he was actually was the perfect Housemate for Tasks (he took them serious) and his Diary Room vists were fun. Plus I felt for him when Justine (who flirted with him like crazy) who all of a sudden tried to make him look like a jackass. Seen her face after she was evicted over Jon was brilliant, after she went on about her staying was one of BB's best comeupperance moments.

Everything up to Jon and Federico eviction was pretty good, after that it does lose a bit of its steam cause of the Cameron/Steph power trip (they zapped the fun out of it) but his Swap deal with BB Africa(which won him BB for me) was fun with Gaetano just couldn't be bothered with them and his clash with Tania was brilliant. Lisa was a good replacement Housemate the house needed and bought enough energy to her weeks in the house. Ray and Scott were a good friendship and did make live feed at nights interesting and they both tried to keep things fun but the last two weeks were boring (apart from vists to the reward rooms).

I always feel BB4 has always been given a unfair reputation as the boring series but it did have some very good moments and in fact I always go back to this series as its a lot more fun then many give it for.

If BB4 was one of the first series and hadn't come immediately after BB3, I genuinely think that it wouldn't have been given the unfair "boring" tag.

I would say BB6 but i'm not sure if its underrated anymore considering it's high placing in the recent favourite series poll. I still dont think BB6 deserves any of the stick it gets though. Easily my favourite series.

BB10 is underrated, it was brilliant and so much better than BB8 and BB9. Bea and Freddie are two of the best housemates. Marcus was overrated though.

BB10. The production sucked but the housemates were great and providing some great storylines.

BB8, as it always gets slagged off for the all-female launch and Carole being in it.

BB6 over the years has grown after viewing, it's the BB that really needed reviewing to really get its value. It be a slow burner of an album in music terms. I still think its main weakness is the fact it lacked a Housemate you wanted to cheer on. Plus Anthony winner sours it a little.

BB10 I liked right up to Freddie's Eviction after that it lost its way. Plus it has an awful winner in Sophie and far too many new housemates went in.

The Worst BB for me, so much in fact I turned it off during its last week. It had far too many housemates, The opening twist was badly done, The Chiggy fakery was a disgrace, the Twins were woeful, Carole zapping any fun in the house, Liam winning half the money halfway through and poor tasks. This was the downfall of BB as a big reality show in the UK.

Agree 100%. I have mentioned this before but I think it was a mixture of bad decisions and the bigger characters leaving early on in the show.

It was incredibly stupid kicking Emily out at 4am in her night dress when the action by BB should have happened to Jade Goody.

Emily, Seany, Shabnam and Lesley were all gone within the first 3 weeks or so. I feel that if they would have had a little longer then a lot of things could have been different and they would (imo) have been big characters.

The all female launch was not a bad idea, I just think they needed someone better than Ziggy to be the first guy so that the women could be played off each other. It was clearly done to try and attract more male viewers too, can't blame them for trying.

In terms of Carole, I believe its down to this forum. She survived half a dozen evictions or so. Therefore to the masses she was not unpopular, this forum just has a habit of you know hating everything (Most people, not all).

Chanelle and Ziggy were annoying yes, but so are EVERY other couple in BB History. Grace and Mikey, Pete and Nikki, Paul and Helen, Josie and John James, Jay and Louise, Aaron & Faye, Luke S and Ashleigh, Luke and Bex...I could go on.

Showmances are a part of BB, they relied on Chanelle and Ziggy because they were so dramatic with each other. Its no different than any other series though focusing on the showmances, we will get it again this year.

People might think the Twins, Brian and so on were being fake but they were popular with the masses for a reason. They brought fun and playfulness, its not their fault they did not get involved with the arguments. They said they didnt want to be involved in backstabbing or arguments and they were not, they just had fun and enjoyed it...good on them.

Seany, Jonty, Gerry, Liam, Brian, Twins even Ziggy all had some comedy gold moments for me.

BB6 was pretty underrated. BB10 was EXTREMELY underrated. The Noirin fiasco is still in my book, the greatest fortnight of drama in BB history. It was like watching something off The Bold and The Beautiful.

BB12 gets a lot of stick on here but I quite enjoyed it. Not a vintage year by any means but overall a pretty entertaining series with the likes of Aaron, Jay, Anton, Heaven, Harry, Faye, Mark and Tom having that perfect balance of being good entertainment value without being vile or malicious.

Like I say it wasn't a classic but it did have some hilarious moments. Aaron's rant about Jem's secret mission ("I'm being bullied by burps!"), Anton's attempt at being a supervillain, and of course, Bananagate. The mental image of Harry sitting on the sofa when the store room opens, struggling to hold back his laughter whilst the others are oblivious about what they're about to encounter still tickles me

out of the second period of BB UK (BB8-13) BB10 is really underrated sadly, by now Channel 4 clearly have given up on BB and put nothing into BB10. It had for me in Sree, Freddie, Marcus, Bea, Noirin some top quality Housemates. The men falling for Noirin was great but that did start to grate after a while (adding in Noirin's ex was one of BB biggest mess ups ever).

Freddie was a great underdog for a few weeks and had the Win in his hands but sadly he blew a one horse race with a massive change in his attitude. It had one of the greatest villians in BB History in Bea (what a dislikeable person she was).

But the reason I picked BB4 over this as most underrated was it had worst BB winner imo in Sophie. Did nothing but won simply cause the other decent housemates blew it and the final was left with some horrible people.

Great write up but I have to disagree with you

Twins really grated on me simply cause they never had anything to say. Brian at least had the odd one liner and funny moment. The Twins just jumped about screaming like 5 year olds and BB producers gave them the most fixed chance of winning by making them one instead of two contestants. They were in to entertain for me they never did. I do think Both Brian and the Twins were going for the Nikki factor from BB7, play it dumb seen as the public love rewarding dumbness.

No the difference with Chiggy and any other BB romance it just came across like they were doing it for the money, it was the most unromantic love story ever. BB producers even bought into and made sure they pleased their every whim. Every H/L show was about them and them only. How many times did either of them say "I want to leave" to BB .

Carole was the ruler of that house and she wanted to be mother hen from day one. Her edits were very kind to say the least. Any female that took attention away from her were a goner.

I agree they need someone who wasn't a giant jackass like Ziggy. But it just never worked sadly and just went downhill from then on in.

Emily, Seany, Shabnam and Lesley. I don't agree what they did to Emily she was just a silly young woman but I doubt she would have made that serious of an impact. She was nice to look out but she would have been up and gone early enough. Seany was a dick (what he did to Lesley was a disgrace). Shabnam is one of those Housemates that has a sale by date, she would have stayed halfway through they would have got rid of her way before the final. Lesley clashing with Carole would have been epic, they were teasing it a little before Lesley went.

It was a bad start, bad choices for HM's, Way too many late comers, it went on far too long, Chiggy romance foolery, Given away half the prize money, crappy twists just really was a bad BB.

For me, it was an improvement on BB11 but BB13 was my favourite out of the C5 years.

Agree about BB8 as well. BB7 proved to be a hard act to follow but I thought the first half of BB8 was classic Big Brother. In terms of consistency, it wasn't the best series but certainly not deserving of the "worst series ever" tag it gets, Entertaining housemates and a lot of action.

I really liked 4. I'd have it in my top 5, definitely. Not the best, but I don't agree with how bad some think it was. Jon Tickle is one of my all time favourite HMs. I also liked the fun they had as a whole group. And the nightly chats in the boys' bedroom.

I still stand by BB4 having the best LF ever. Ray and Scott used to sit up until the break of dawn just chatting which I always found interesting.

Jon I loved the second time around more then the first. He was a great leader when it came to tasks (even though it pissed of the other housemates) and his Diary Room vist's were always great (only Victor from BB5 was better).

It be top 6 for me, its far better then any BB after 7 for me.

I've said this before, but BB4 had the most likeable bunch of HMs. If I had to choose which set of HMs to live with for at least two months from all the series', it would be BB4. They were all a genuinely decent bunch, which I think in BB terms is somewhat of a death knell.

It did have the odd housemate that did annoy me.

Justine was one looking back, she threw herself at Jon during the first week then once she found out the other housemates taught he was a little strange. She made him out to be some sort of pervert and tried to turn the other girls agaisn't him. She was even saying when both Jon and her were up for eviction that she would stay. She was shocked when she was evicted which made it funnier. Lisa was the closet to OTT housemate which BB overused in BB's after.

I loved BB4 cause its laidback but it had some very funny moments and was the last BB to really have a house full of really nice people instead of OTT wannabes.

BB11 is always criticised, understandably, because all the best housemates had gone by half way through and the newcomers were mainly weak and pointless. But the Ignore the Obvious task was genius, and the flood was a good episode as well. Plenty of series have had no tasks or external incidents anything like as good.

Nikki never struck me as 'dumb'; brattish and attention seeking, yes!
If anyone was aping Nikki that year it was Chanelle.

Ah I like Nikki but she was a bit dumb but not to the extent Brian and the twins went too, but the fact the audience praised stupidity sickens me more.

Chanelle is another good one. I always felt she played the Nikki role but she was far more dislikeable.
