Edge of seat - BB9

Shame that even back then the mob booed the winner egged on by certain ex housemates and Ma McCall

The same Ma McCall who called Sophie a wonderful winner despite Sophie not doing much at all except burping, farting and acting stupid

Best atmosphere - Series 3

Anyone could have won that series, and pleased it was Kate who took the honours in the end

Entertainment value - Series 7

Just for the moment of seeing Nikki and Richard's faces when they sat there so smugly thinking Aisleyne would be leaving before them and she ended up being top female

Richard had the pleasure of realizing how very, very wrong he had got his strategy in the final two weeks, having decided that Nikki must be feted and fawned over and Aisleyne could safely be thrown to the wolves. I would have been more forgiving about it if he hadn't gone on to spend about the whole of the next year bitching about Aisleyne, who I don't remember ever saying a single word back.

As an overall concept I would say it stand the test of time but individual series sometimes let the side down”

Ahhh yes, I still can't believe that Anthony won it. I feel without this twist Eugene would have taken it easily.

Yeah there has been some let down series but the concept is genius.

It's between BB1, BB3 and BB7 for me. I'll plump for BB7 as Pete winning was a very rewarding experience for me.

BB5 with Nadia winning. I can remember voting like mad against my cousin who wanted Jason to win. He win crazy when Nadia won. That's the only one I can remember having me so on the edge of my seat.

I hate when the winner is booed, even if you don't agree with the winner at least be polite and clap not acting like a bunch of eejits. I wasn't a massive Rachel fan but her winning was one up to Davina and the BB producers. Plus it showed some faith that the BB audience weren't always buying what the BB producers fed us in the edited H/l's. Plus Davina downfall was her disgraceful interview with Rachel, she should have been sacked there and then.

Sophie won on the fact all the early favourites either lost the plot (Freddie) became love struck fools (Siavash). Plus the finalists were a bunch of fools. Sophie had it in the bag simply cause she was boring but nice.

Until Aaron won BB12, BB10 was the closest my launch night pick got to winner (Marcus was evicted the week before the final night

I never particularly liked David but I thought it was hilarious when he beat Funtime into third place!!!

For me, it would have to be hands down BB5. I too was very emotionally invested in Nadia winning.

How? Rachel was predicted as the winner before we even knew she existed.

Why should Davina have to have the same view of them that you do?

Hmm. Jade and the way she treated Sophie rather spoiled bb3's atmosphere.

So one of the longest series was made most entertaining my two brief looks, even though people had been predicting Ash would win and in the end she came third? I think this conforms yet again that liking bb7 is largely about liking Aisleyne, and that her popularity was largely just the flipside of disliking other HMs.

I think I know about the thread you're talking about, but just because it was predicted by a FM that this type of housemate would win, it doesn't mean that this would be the case.

It was a very close final. The voting percentages on the final show that the voting was very close for all five finalists. Statistically, any one of them could have won. But at the time, I don't think many people would have been very confident that Rachel would win. She was never the bookies' favourite, (even though she was usually in around the top five), she wasn't in the HL as much as the other finalists and she had got a lot of stick by people who said she was boring.

Of course a prediction doesn't mean it would definitely happen. But it wasn't all that hard to see Rachel was fairly likely to win. I thought at the start that she'd likely be popular, and on August 16th, I said she was most likely to win. (The series ended the 5th of September.)

Did we know how close it was at the time?

Anyway, my " " reply was mostly just in fun.

At the time, the only voting percentage in the final that was given was when Davina told us that Rachel had 51.3%. All the final voting percentages were only revealed however long after the final. But looking at them, you can see that statistically, any one of them could have gone next.
