Everybody says all the housemates are wannabe's but who in your opinion were the worse offenders for simply using BB as an audition rather then enjoying the experience.

I mean like spending a few days in the BB house then leaving saying its not for them but the next day they had their babs out in the next day papers.

Shabnam and her "deals" springs instantly to my mind.

She never shut up about it, remember her dance on top of the stairs after her eviction. Davina had to drag her down. One of those I want to look away but I cant moments in BB history.

Orlaith from BB6 is one that springs to mind. After beating out Kemal and Science in Evictions (what were the voting public thinking). The night after Kemal evictions, She decided to leave on the Saturday just in time to make sure she got into the Sunday papers with her tits out. I pinpoint her as the first to use BB as audition to the lad mags.

I add Mario from BB9 the man really would have cut his own hand off for a bit of fame.

Chanelle basically went into the house wanting to be the next Victoria Beckham and she was like in all the papers with Ziggy.

Charley said on the first night that she wasn't in it for the same and Chanelle didn't deny it either.

Has to be Shabnam and her deals! Lol

Tashie from BB12 and her porno film that miraculously was "leaked"....

3 names jumped into my head immediately.

Chanelle.
Maysoon.
With Maysoon I think it was the worst type of using the show to promote yourself,she had already done some work.

Maysoon Shaladi is an Actress, model and TV presenter Her career has moved from strength to strength following her appearance on Big Brother and now currently a Bollywood film actress and Item girl.
She said she went into the Big Brother House to try to change model stereotypes she lasted a short time before walking,just enough time to get her profile up..

It's harder to think of the housemates who weren't wannabes (maybe George???). Even great housemates like Rex and Deana were obviously on for the fame and career-boost

LukeM was one of the worst wannabes, with his 'controversy creates cash' attitude and desperate parlaying into low-level radio afterwards. Only Mark came close in his desperation to be noticed but at least he's vanished now.

If we drop the rather derisive 'wannabe' and go for 'who had the greatest drive to be famous?' I'm going with Angel. Her profile described her as 'an international rock star'; she said her ambition was to be a 'word champion boxer and Miss Universe'; she has also pitched herself as a photographer, sculptor and painter; she tried to enter the Eurovision song contest; she used BB to promote herself as a dress designer; she was, I'm pretty sure, the only housemate ever to walk across the house and garden naked while completely alone, possibly because she just felt like being naked, but the coy little smile at the camera suggested not.

I think Orlaith and Maysoon are two that obviously didn't give a toss about the BB process. Orlaith seemed to stick it out for as long as she could to make sure she got something out of it when she left, whereas Maysoon just gave up as soon as it got just a little tedious.

Chanelle though is the housemate I could most sense the desperation from. I think she only lasted 7-8 weeks before walking because she had no real idea what she was doing or infact who she really was. She wanted to be the next Posh Spice but had no real insight into how to make that happen.

Her on BB12 she had a thing with Aden sorry cant remember her name, couldn't stand her.

I'm another voting for Chanelle - she was so blatant about it thats what made it worse !

Billi. Easily. The most deluded one, too.

6 years later, and he still harps on about how much more known he is than other housemates (bless ), how 6 million watched his series (), blah blah blah etc.

I always forget about him.
Shows how interesting he was.
He seems more desperate now than he was on the show..trying to pick twitter fights to get attention.

I remember Charley saying something like, "Yeah, I'm only in here for the fame, I'm not going to deny it."


I'd also add Bex too. After Spitgate, she completely changed, and it was clear that what she was doing was, "How can I get airtime? I know, I'll run round the house naked. And then I'll kiss Luke the night before I could be evicted." The HMs even referred to it as "the Rebecca show" when she did these things.

Josie - she may not have gone in for the fame but she has made up for it since. Sam picked up on it quite quickly and he was right.

everyone in bb10, like on the second night they were already talking about life after big brother etc, acting like they were famous.

I always taught Orlaith got off far too easy when it came to her dismissing of the BB. It was clear from day one she had no interest in the show, it always came across to me she probably never seen any BB in her life. She promoted herself very well but I just hate that side of BB housemates.
