I don't know whether you've forgotten what Sophie did or just didn't notice at the time, but her time in BB was very different from your description.

And it's very easy to say other HMs had great stories, but I don't see anyone saying what those stories were. Even on the 'romance' front, their stories don't seem all that much better. Marcus and Siavash had very tedious attempts at a romance with Noirin. Freddie tried with Bea. At least Sophie worked out (with some help from Tom) that she was better off not continuing her involvement with Kris.
