They put no effort into BB10 at all.

No wonder it was a dismal failure.

Production wise it was crap and it seemed they didn't seem to care about BB anymore.

However, I think the HMs saved it and to me BB10 is a very good series.

For me that series shows how Big Brother is all about the housemates when it comes down to it.

A good cast equals a good series and vice versa. BB10 is still one of my favourites even though I completely agree that the production values are half-arsed.

Some people want lack of Big Brother interference and just watch people interacting in a house, some people aren't interested if there is not a "twist" every week and Big Brother shaking things up.

The HMs were amazing together, it was a really good mix, and I think it was all the better for BB going with the flow than messing them around more (might not work in other series though).

I really enjoyed BB10.

Very diluted celebration of 10 series I think is the best way this series is summed up

Not to mention the beginnings of lots more contact with the outside world with David and Lisa being taken out on the town, and the series where BB lost control completely

The mass break out, letting most of the housemates walk all over them especially Siavash and Marcus

NO daytime feed so we couldn't really celebrate the 10th anniversary properly, apart from 4 or 5 minutes in the highlights

Overnight feed all over the place, sometimes as late as 2am when they were all asleep

This sums it up. Also hated the start when the house was all bare and basic and they had to compete to become housemates with difficult challenges like being the first to answer a phone and volunteering to draw a curly moustache on their face

I wouldn't say that there was no effort. I liked a lot of tasks that year, such as the Beyonce dance and the Daft Punk task where Sophie and Roddy took part. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4bzDMt1qWQ

That was the first time I switched off after launch night. There was absolutely no atmosphere and the crowd was tiny. The 'twist' fell flat too.

I did watch a bit later in the series that was quite good, but I hadn't seen much before it so couldn't really get into it properly.

There were a few good moments - like the 10th anniversary celebrations where a HM from each year returned to the house to take part in different past tasks, the Alice in Wonderland task and Rodrigo meeting "the Queen", but overall, it just felt "meh".

This is how I prefer BB to be.

Sorry but I disagree because the launch night twist was great, the housemates were all brilliant! It had some of the most gripping storylines and classic moments in Big Brother history.

I enjoyed;

The housemates
The very basic looking house
The storylines that formed from the housemates
The tasks were great (apart from Lisa and David leaving) the house.

The only things I disliked were;

Eviction interviews with the psychologist
The schedule, it was either on at 8pm, 9pm or 10pm

If Big Brother 10 had 24/7 LIVE feed I truly think it would have went down as one of the best and most complex series' of Big Brother ever!

This is the only BB I totally gave up on. Lousy production and, more importantly, housemates I just couldn't like.

BB6 had housemates I found tedious too - but not quite as bad as BB10.:yawn::sleep:

I remember thinking how little producer intrerference there was on BB10. And then they chucked Issac in and completely finished of Norin.

Marcus was one of the best housemates ever!

Production wise BB10 was weak but the housemates were fantastic and it made it a brilliant series, I thought. After the first week was over and done with the series really became interesting. The housemates from this series were amazing. Marcus, Freddie, Sophie and Siavash would probably all be in my top 20 housemates ever and who can forget the classic villains this series like Noirin, Lisa and Bea?

The housemates alone make it my third favourite series, behind BB7 and BB5 and just beating BB3 and BB6.

He was awful, but in a fantastic kind of way!

Even though the production and effort put in by BB was below par, they did do a couple of things that i really liked, and that was putting the tash on Norin and giving the nicknames to Freddie and Sophie.

Also, though i thought it did tail off towards the end, a plus for me was how much i grew to like David.
I thought he was dull and pointless for most of his time, but by the end i saw him as a really sweet guy who genuinely appreciated being given the chance to be in BB.

When was there live coverage during bb10? I vaguely recall there being even less of one of the CBBs.

Have to echo the positive comments - the cast made it one of my personal favourites. I had all but given up on it with BB8&9, but Noirin et al brought me back. Just a shame about the following year.

the Alice in Wonderland task was really well-thought-out, being one of my favourite tasks ever...

Starting after midnight, sometimes as late as 01:30.
C4 really had had enough of the show by then.

I'm a firm believer that the only reason there was a Live Feed in BB11 was because Endemol were looking for a new home and possibly put on the internet feed out of their own pockets.
Of course there's no way of ever verifying that,it's just the feeling I have about it.

I liked this series! Only thing I didnt like was the introduction of KT just after his Scottish g/f was evicted.
