I was thinking of trying one of the Chicago Town frozen pizzas one day (think its called Fully Loaded or something like that, but not sure) with peppperoni, ham, spicy beef, peppers etc - they say its more popular than Dominos/Pizza Hut etc
How are they? I guess £4 isnt bad for a large pizza considering what the same thing would cost if you ordered it in a restaurant, or even takeaway.
Has anyone had the Tesco Finest Chicken and Chorizo pizza - any good? For some reason I keep having a hankering for those sorts of flavours

Nicest shop bought ones I've bought was m&s hickory steak. Apart from that I like to buy a bog standard pizza express margherita and then add my own toppings. I don't like thick stodgy, greasy bases, so the pizza express ones are good for me.

M and S wood fire ones are lovely especially the Margharita and Tuscan sausage Pepporanata ones. Think they're on offer ATM (or they certainly were)..

I see my local Tesco sell large Pizza express margheritas at £6 which is an utter ripoff. The same price you could get a large/medium from a local pizza parlour with meaty toppings!

I quite like to add my own toppings too. I always like the sound of the Tesco Wood Fired Italian Meats one but its always £4.50
M&S ones I've had have been nice but expensive for a small pizza.

Ive had many good supermarket pizzas. The best ones I had are -

Pizza Express Sloppy Guiseppe (which I only ever buy when on half price or similar deal, £4.50 at normal price is a massive rip off)
Asda Americano on a thin base

Im not keen on thin stodgy bases so I always get a thin crust pizza. Those two are my favourite but the Sainsburys finest range is also ok but did find the toppings abit greasy on one of them

I love Tescos meal deal ones, the ones you get in a purple box, The Pepperoni and Hawaiian ones are gorgeous, and I quite like Sainsburrys deep dish Hawaiian ones aswell. =)

Has anyone had 'Goodfellas' pan pizzas? Any good?
I did spot a Chicago Town pizza today but it was Pepperoni rather than Fully Loaded. Might get one for a day I come home late

They are too stodgy and greasy in my opinion. And you have to watch out for the stuffed crust filling as it can burn your mouth once you bite into it.

Oetker pizzas are good as long as you cook them properly - I think it's at the bottom shelve of a pre-heated oven. I used to cook them at top and would often burn them or end up with a soggy middle.

I did this with my Pizza Express American Hot last night. But I did add fresh tomato, onions and a bit more cheese so might have been my own fault, but suffice to say I ended up with a VERY soggy middle which made it nigh-on impossibe to pick up a slice. It was as floppy as a shoelace!

I find it difficult to judge what shelf to put it on. Also I just put in on a pizza tray rather than putting it directly on the shelf

I believe they cook better when placed on the rack and not on a tray.

As long as the tray or pizza stone is hot before the pizza goes on it there is little to no difference. If the tray is not preheated then yes of course the base does not cook as well and you can end up with flaccid pizza.

I have had a few Oetker pizzas and i find them always floppy no matter how you do them. Good value pizzas mind.
Had a basic Goodfellas pepperoni the other night and it was very average although it was only about £1.50 or summit.
Anyone tried the Farmfoods pizzas?.

Anyone remember that bloke on Dragons' Den who had that invention to stop a 'soggy middle'? Has anyone actually bought one? Wonder if they work..? Hmmm..

Thats an idea, I'll pre heat the tray next time. I don't have a 'proper' pizza stone but its sort of half way between that and a ordinary baking tray - its a round tray with holes in it to put pizzas on.

Dr Oetker or the Chicago Town one with the thin base and stuffed crust are good. I usually get the plain ones and chuck on onion, mushroom, pepper and sweetcorn or use up some leftover roast chicken with corn.
