According to Wikipedia (not the most reliable of sources, I know, so this could be wrong) Neil will be the other PM next week. I'm surprised actually; I thought Sugar would elect Alex and Jason as PM.

Surprising indeed. Alex has to be one PM, no question - I guess we'll just have to see whether Wikipedia is right on the other one.

I feel a bit for Jason- I can't help but like the bumbling, stuttering Hugh Grant-a-like, but he's way out of his depth in this show.

I know it's not in his nature to be as forthright or indeed as Alpha Male as some of the other contestants but it's almost like he's been emancipated by the rest of the people there. He's always doing the dogsbody tasks. Having said that I'm disappointed he doesn't have even a little bit of fight in him to stick up for himself.

Alas he seems to have accepted his position without too much fuss. resigned to peeling carrots, and potatoes, etc.

He probably thinks it's all Tickety Boo!

He obviously has something there, he wouldn't of got through the initial interview stages if he wasn't any good (I hope) and his business plan obviously has some legs to it!

Yeah but technically you could say similar for every contestant that's ever appeared on the Apprentice

He's clearly intelligent, he just seems to struggle to assert himself with other more domineering characters. He strikes me as a 'bloody good bloke' though!

I agree I was referring to some people saying "why is he here" etc.

Sorry, I wasn't having a dig at you.

IMO we haven't really seen the best of this guy because he's always shoved into the background and seems to have accepted his role which is a shame!

But, when we do see him in business situations, he does come across a bit as a bumbling buffoon. But is he just a victim of editing?

But, looks like a great guy, and likely to have a career in "the media".

Neil moves to Evolve and is their PM next week (there's some shots of the teams in the boardroom during the preview from the task 6 ep, and he's in the PM seat for Evolve). Neil and Jason will form a sub-team trying to sell a camper van.

Actually, it doesn't look like Alex will be PM either. Again in the boardroom shots, Alex wasn't shown, yet Kurt was and it looks like Kurt might be PM on the task (normally both PMs are shown in the boardroom shots of the previews). Kurt and Alex will be a sub-team on the task though.

Back on topic: I like Jason, he's good comedy value but I think we all know he'll unfortunately be gone soon. I do like the way that he (and Rebecca for that matter) just gets on with things and doesn't deal in the bitching etc.

I did love how he told the others what Luisa had done when she'd made fun of Francesca in the car. Only Natalie and Jordan were pleased to see her when she came back

Maybe Alex won't be PM? Lord Sugar doesn't always make that decision. Like with Jade last year - she was the last person not to have been PM, and he didn't actually elect her as one, he just heavily implied at the brief that he would like her to be - and she was. If Alex is not and he's in the boardroom, he will definitely be fired.

Thanks, TAE. I didn't watch the preview that closely, so useful to know.

Interesting if Sugar doesn't pick out Alex to be PM. Having singled out two new PMs this week, you'd think he'd want to ensure that the only remaining candidate without a PM stint took his turn, as he has done in previous series.

I'm not sure that he picked Francesca and Leah just because they hadn't done it yet. His reason for choosing Francesca was because she'd had some experience with these events before. Leah I'm guessing he made her PM after she went on about how she would have done better as PM than Zee in the last ep.

He might hint that Alex should be PM, but I don't think he'll force the issue just yet. Tom P wasn't PM until week 8 iirc, and Adam Corbally a bit later than that.

Adam was PM for the Edinburgh Street Food task, which was about Task 5/6 I think. Tom's definitely the longest anyone's waited to be PM, and even then he had to be forced.

Thanks for that, I thought Katie did that one (it was task 6). Tom wasn't PM until the Paris task which I think was either task 8 or 9 (might have been even later actually, I know Leon was fired but I'm trying to remember where he came in the firing order in relation to Zoe, who I think went on task 10).

It is reliable this time - look in the trailer! Neil's sat in the PM's seat.

What happened with the Tom thing was that in Week 6 there were four people remaining who hadn't been PM yet - Tom, Helen, Jim and Natasha. Helen was PM for one team, but her team included all three of the other people, so on the other team someone had to be PM who had already done it - specifically, Zoe. So in Week 7, there were three people who hadn't done it yet instead of two. Lord Sugar elected Jim and Natasha to lead the teams in Week 7, meaning that in Week 8 it had to be Tom.

Yeah but its not like he deliberately waited around for ages as his teammates volunteered to be PMs for the second times. By Task 7, three candidates (Jim, Tom and Natasha) had yet to be PM, so at least one of them had to be PM in Week 8. Adam was indeed PM in Week 6 for Street Food.

EDIT: Just seen that George mentioned this. Ignore this post!
Purple.

Good on him, his make or break will be as PM, but even then if he totally screws up like Tom did, there's no guarantee he'll go.

His main problem is he doesn't seem to have a quick business like brain, and comes across as bumbling and slow, but leave the guy alone, he puts his head down and gets on with the job at hand, much like Tom.”

Totally agree

Jason must, to an extent, be a victim of editing insofar as we invariably see him preparing lunch, but there must be other things he does in those long hours when lunch is not being prepared, and since he was not brought back by Francesca, perhaps he does them well (although this was the only time Jason has lost and therefore been in danger of firing, and we must not read too much into a sample of one).

I agree that he has been a victim of the edit. We do see a few positive things from Jason but they seem to be very quick and easily-overlooked. There was also in the what-happened-last-time section of episode 2 that the narrator said how they lost time under Jason's leadership while visually referring to the event where Myles blundered with the batteries decision which cost them heaps of time.

Jason's edit reminds me a little of Patrick's from Young Apprentice. I thought he was treated very unfairly by the editors. They made him look absolutely useless, but I actually think that he was one of the stand-out candidates. Anything good that he did was glossed over, and everything bad was really hyped up. He did a few dreadful things - like the pitch in Week 2 - but he came across as very creative. The wetsuit/kimono was pretty cool, even if Lord Sugar didn't like it. One of the shops they brought it to thought it was very clever, and said that they would buy it if it was part of a range. I think it's telling that in seven weeks, he was only in the boardroom once as PM (although admittedly he probably should have been in the boardroom in Week 2, and there was only one other occasion that he was on a losing team.) I've been looking at his Twitter account since the programme was on, he seems like an interesting guy.

They appear to be doing the same thing to Jason, although in fairness I haven't noticed anything good from Jason as of yet, and I did with Patrick.
