EE to launch 4G Pay As You Go Mobile Broadband & launch shared Data Bundles
EE are to launch 4G LTE on Pay As You Go but it looks like this will only be for Mobile Broadband.
EE will also launch shared Data Bundles. Vodafone had already stated they will do this. Expect the tariffs to be announced in about 4 weeks. http://www.mobiletoday.co.uk/News/25...customers.aspx |

They have a target of 1 Million 4G LTE customers by the time Santa comes to empty his sacks
![]() http://blogs.wsj.com/tech-europe/201...-by-christmas/ Only due to the fact they are heavily pushing current customers with iPhones/S4's/4G phones to upgrade to 4G at no extra cost on Orange. And on T-Mobile they're rewording it to make it sound like 1.5GB is better than unlimited. In other words EE are spinning everything and even lying to their existing customer base to get them to sign up to EE4G. There is a huge amount of threads on other websites of people being mis sold and lied to about the perks of 4G by EE call centre staff. |

EE have completely misjudged the market just as 3 did with the launch of 3G. They will have to swallow their pride and offer something far more attractive to consumers to make anything of their head start with 4G technology. |

Agreed I have had 2 texts so far offering a change to EE 4G with 500MB of data in exchange for my unlimited Full Monty allowance. I won't be taking up their kind offer but I expect many will be tempted with the promise of raw speed.
EE have completely misjudged the market just as 3 did with the launch of 3G. They will have to swallow their pride and offer something far more attractive to consumers to make anything of their head start with 4G technology. They deserve to fail. |

Also isn't this the fastest LTE uptake? Possibly not in the world but definitely in Europe? |

Ironic thing is, I've been asking to upgrade my full monty tariff to an ee tariff and they say I can't do it as I'm half way through a 24 month contract yet their web site says you can..... I have the 4g phone, just want the tariff to go with it.
They deserve to fail. Just click "move to ee" the type your details in and you should get a SIM sent out. |

Ive just popped in to my local EE shop and was told by the manager that ee is launching a mobile data dongle especially for my town with a good price and data allowance,
He said it should be here in about 3 weeks and its the first time the company has launched a product specific for a town, My town does not have BT or cable and our telephone company is owned by the council and shareholders, So its the only ISP and phone supplier in the town and has been for the last 100+ years so there is nothing else apart from a couple of company's that do wireless internet which again runs off the local ISP's network, So it will be interesting to see what they come up with, Will keep u posted....... |

Yup its Hull guys, Kingston communications KCom (Karoo Broadband)
Its the only ISP and nobody else will come in because its a mixture of the customer base aint worth it 100,000 and KC would charge them too much to use there network so the profit would not make it worth it so other ISP's say why they wont come here, Like i said EE have decided for the first time to make the dongle exclusive for people of the town with the HU post code in order to get a foot hold in the town with a special rate and data bundle the manager said had been agreed in the meeting and he thinks it could be about 3 weeks before they announce, So will see what they come up with...... |

Seems like there are a good few cities like this.. Capable backhaul could be the issue.

Norwich
Norwich is also coming
I'm curious about this data sharing bundles. I wonder if they will allow more than one phone line. Would be good if you could have a whole family sharing a pot of data.
