Thought it was good last night. I've heard it before but I do really like Milton's joke about not interacting with the neighbours...
Think the series since September has been the best in a long time. I do think Chris Addison's absence has maybe contributed to that (perhaps not that in itself but the fact it means they get more variety each week.) |

Chris Addison's absence has definitely made the show better for me. He seems to try his utmost every show to make things as desperately unfunny as possible.
Give him the boot, and replace him with Widdicombe. |

I also don't miss Addison, but I found Josh Widdicombe a bit distracting as he has an annoying high pitched laugh and he finds everything hilarious.

I avoid any show now that has Widdicombe in it, not because he isn't funny, it's the over the top hysterical laughing, at anything, that drives me insane!

There were a few times where the comedians were laughing harder than the audience. That doesn't really work very well |

I thought Seann Walsh was laughing the hardest out of everyone on the panel on Thursday.

Someone mentioned last week about Parsons repeating a joke and he did it again last night.
It was the one about the married couple tax credits and saying if you say with me there's a tenner in it for you. |

Didnt he do that one a few years back though? Its not like it was done just weeks apart.
On the subject of annoying laughs, Jimmy Carr tops that list for me, it just sounds so odd ![]()

We're talking more about annoying laughs rather than good material at the moment.

Thought it was an OK episode but not as good as last week.
Still, I did like Hugh's joke in SWLTS (Unlikely Small Ads) to move Dara on to the next topic

I don't mind it. I like it when comedians laugh at others' jokes.
It's a lot better than those who sit there with a scowl on their face thinking 'that bastard is getting more laughs than me'. Paul Merton has been guilty of that - just that he looks bored/dispondent instead. He can be appreciative of others' jokes but it's usually one of his mates. |

Thought I'd revisit a topic discussed a few weeks ago about other comedies you'd like to see on the show. Richard Ayoade, Doc Brown, Lenny Henry, Paul McCaffrey come to mind.

Having seen Richard Ayoade on a couple of panel shows this week I don't think his dry, laid back style would work on MtW.

The odd thing for me about Jimmy Carr is why he is considered funny, ever.
