I picked up some cake bars a few days back 'Balconi Choco Orange" is the name of them, found some Devon Custard crammed at the back of the cupboard, and I have to say it was the best thing I've ever mixed with custard I urge you to search these cake bars and put them in your hot custard not the thick stuff though.

Any other ideas?

Our very favourite pudding is syrup sponge. For four:

4 oz sugar
4oz sr flour
4oz margarine
teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs

Mix all in one, grease a pudding dish, liberally squeeze syrup into it, then pour pudding mix on top.

160C until it's cooked, I think about 40 minutes. It's so worth it.

Puddings are the excuse I give just so that I can have custard.
Favourite is steamed syrup or treacle pudding. Treacle tart and last but definitely not*least, jam roly poly. Oh I'm hungry now.

I'm not too keen on stodgy puddings but I do enjoy cold custard with stewed apple.

It was my treat when I was poorly, a bowl of custard with Walkers Cheese & Onion to dunk in it - gorgeous!

Apple Crumble or a nice gooey Chocolate Pudding. And Apple Pie but I think I prefer cream with that.

Hm not suredI'd fancy that. They're too similar in texture and the hot custard would obliterate the jelly.
