Why are people getting so worked up about Luisa?

Now I haven't seen the latest episode yet, but just judging on the first five weeks Luisa... really hasn't done anything noteworthy at all. And yet everyone's getting so worked up over her and there are multiple threats about how she's an awful bitch who should face the firing squad or whatever the ****. I understand it's commonplace for a lot of forum users to immediately hate a young, confident, attractive woman but let's be real, she hasn't done anything to warrant extreme hate (or love) from what I've seen in the first five weeks.

I find her to be very rude.

And that applies to Luisa how? Other than it being the sort of absurd statement she would make?

I would suggest you watch the show first, that will be very helpful in letting you form an opinion to answer your question. During the scene where Luisa speaks to the lady who makes the chocolate, see if you can spot (a) common courtesy, (b) building good business relationships or (c) incredible rudeness followed by major brass neck.

I would hate to be a member of her staff in the cupcake bakery. Or whatever her other two businesses are.

She does analyse the situation very well in the boardroom though. When she can tear herself away from having a little smirk with Jordan.

I actually am starting to quite like Luisa. She wasn't nice to Rebecca, but she has something to her.

That's not true. I don't hate her because how can you hate someone you don't know but she comes across as a rude person and doesn't think before she speaks, its got nothing to do with her looks.

I would suggest that you learn to open your eyes because

1) You're clearly letting your (misguided) hate for Luisa get in the way if you're trying to insist that it's absurd to find her attractive
2) I prefaced all of this by saying "I haven't seen the latest episode yet" and you're spewing shit at me about that very episode

I can't be doing with her. Funny shaped face and over confident in her abilities with men.

I think Luisa's got it totally arse-backward. Other women don't dislike her because she's attractive, it's because she's damn rude to them.

She seems to interact with them already with the thought in her mind that they aren't going to like her, but it's actually when her personality comes out that they suddenly think 'wtf!'

I don't like how her and Jordan are able to unite whilst seeming to be two individuals.

Um yes, I am suggesting that the answer to your question lies in that episode and that you should probably have watched it before posting. Or as we say here in Scotland, "were you actually at the game caller?"

I don't hate Luisa, I just don't think she is a very nice person. As for looks, different people find different people attractive. I don't like fake bits or overdone make-up; I even find Leah a struggle with all her make-up and trout pout and I would say she is a far more attractive girl than Luisa. I also judge attractiveness on what people say and how they behave, and she fails IMO on both those counts. So from my perspective, she is not attractive. You obviously think she is, good for you, go for your life.

There have been numerous threads about Luisa before yesterday's episode so you should probably have realized that before being a complete jackass. And objectively speaking she's not ugly by any means so again a bit of an overreaction for you to say it's absurd for people to think she's attractive. But I understand a good amount of posters here have problems with reasonably attractive girls who aren't doormats so I guess I just answered my own question.

She's been very rude through out this process which probably explains the threads before yesterdays ep.
I don't get why you think its about looks, we've all said why we are not fond of her and that's because she's rude.

And yet you chose to start a new post here rather than as an extension on the 'Luisa is vile' thread, where you could have hit your whole target audience straight between the legs.

Not actually what I said, but please don't let facts get in the way here. How can one speak objectively about beauty incidentally?

Yup that's it, we're all terrified of the little ladies rebelling. It has nothing to do with her personality at all. We just tune into the Apprentice to watch smart women get shot down. We just wish they'd get rid of Margaret and Karren and get some more white men in there to show them how stupid they are and get them back into the kitchen faster. Yup.

I think for the show she's quite entertaining and a good character, even if she's not meant to be all that likeable. She's also not all that bad of a business person. It's the pictures that are leaked that make a mockery of her and the whole show really. She seems to in it for the fame.

A lot of people have said that she is very rude, but I haven't really seen that. I think that she just says what she believes to be true. Like with the chocolate lady, for example. People say that she was rude to her, but I thought she was just saying it how it was; she didn't see why they should spend money on her when she herself could run cupcake sessions for free.

People in the past have said that I'm rude sometimes when I'm working, but I think that they misunderstand me. I'm just straight-talking. And people who actually see my way of doing things don't find me rude at all.

Neil, Myles, Zee and Leah all acted appallingly and rude to the other candidates .

But Neil, Myles, and Zee aren't relatively attractive and confident females so it doesn't really count.

I don't like her because I know girls similar to her. Ones who pretend to be five year olds jumping up and down. Her voice gets on my nerves. Yes, she's quite pretty but it's got nothing to do with anything, although she obviously thinks it does going by yesterday's boardroom!

I do think that society seems to have a problem with confident females, as evidenced by the opinions on confident female contestants on many shows... Yes Luisa is rude but no more so than many of the other contestants.

In terms of her attractiveness, she's not the prettiest female on the show but she is by no means ugly... I just find overly made-up girls unattractive, that goes for Natalie and Leah too not just Luisa, and her playing the "its because of my looks card" in the boardroom was very unappealing.

And the playing dumb ditzyness thing is not cute, it just makes her look stupid.

Its like you want your theory about Luisa to be true. Its great to have attractive confident females, but you don't want rude ones.
I'm sure people have commented about the guys rudeness.

Luisa has been a bit rude in the program, but only towards the other females.

In ep 1 it was Leah - 'you're just a doctor'

In ep 2 it was Rebecca (when they were in the losers cafe and in the boardroom, Luisa was trying to defend Tim and belittle Rebecca, saying that it wasn't Tim's fault but hers. To be fair to her on that one though, Uzma, Sophie and Natalie were having a go at Rebecca too)

In ep 3 it was Uzma (Uzma was appointed sub-team leader and Luisa kept talking over her whilst she was speaking to the design guy)

Week 6 it was Francesca and Rebecca.

I didn't like Luisa at first (because of how abrasive she was) but had to admit that she was a good candidate and did a decent job as PM in ep 4. I thought she'd turned it around after a quieter ep in Dubai and was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt but she blew that with how she behaved in the last ep. Not the part where she said she works better with men than with women because that's the same for me, but it didn't take long for her to make what could be construed as a bitchy comment about someone (at the beginning when she was saying how Rebecca was 'desperate' to be PM, I don't know, something about the way she said it made it come across as bitchy) and then when she was in the car with Jason making fun of Francesca.

She'll make it to the end, I don't doubt that, and she does seem to have a good head for business, but after seeing how she has behaved, I wouldn't want to work with her and I doubt LS would either.

(and before anyone tries to accuse me of being a 'jealous hater' or anything, there's quite a few of them that I wouldn't want to work with)

It's not really a theory it's just how society is as PrincessTT pointed out, it's the same in Big Brother. There are always gender double standards and men could practically get away with murder but as long as he was "fit" it didn't matter. Having a vagina carries a huge burden on these shows, quite honestly.

And Luisa hasn't even been that rude. Like I said I haven't seen the most recent episode yet, but aside from "well no offense but you're just a doctor" or whatever (which is SO backwards and ignorant it was hilarious) what else has she even said or done? Everyone's slapping her with vaguely negative adjectives but not many actual actions, quotes, or interactions are being cited.

It does happen in society but on this forum I doubt its got anything to do with her looks.
AubernEnigma provided examples of when Luisa was rude.

Luisa seems to be forthright and brash. She needs to reign her style in a little bit because she does come across as rude at times.
For example the way she dismissed the chocolatier with her I can do better than that speech but then asked to buy some piping bags off the shocked woman.
I like the way Luisa always gets involved and doesn't sit on the fence, she could never be called a dull candidate.
I wonder what went on in the house between her and Francesca.
