THE most over-rated man looks-wise ever. Mind you, he always looks like he needs to be more familiar with soap and shampoo, so perhaps that's the worst thing about how he generally looks to me. He's not ageing well to me either.

I agree, he's beautiful
He and his wife Danneel have just had a baby girl. I'm picturing him holding a baby girl. My ovaries!

Oh God yes, him and Jensen Ackles.

Not my cup of tea...though I will be seeing the film, love Superman.

It would have to be at the moment....

Tom Hardy

Fair enough - I respectfully disagree though. My only beef with Johnny Depp is I wish he'd make better films. The last thing he did I actually enjoyed was Public Enemies. The Lone Ranger looks terrible.

Totally agree with this!

He has good features which could be termed classical good looks I suppose, but personally he doesn't do much for me. I prefer a quirkier face

It's all very subjective.
I'd argee but for what it's worth my vote goes to the Scandinavian bloke who plays Eric Northman in True Blood.

This thread is making me feel really old.
All the "candidates" just look so damn young.
I am now officially depressed.

They're all just way too clean and shiny for me.
I prefer them a bit more rough and rugged.:

Superman should be played by a clean shiny type. A guy that's good looking but not too sexy. Henry Cavill is perfect for the role.

He is totally perfect.
It doesn't help that I've actually met him - and he's even better in the flesh.

I don't have an opinion on Henry Cavill, but my daughter certainly does - and Russell Crowe! Which is fortunate because both are in Jersey all week for the UK premier of the film on Friday night (being held in Jersey, not London, at Henry's specific request because his family are all here and this is his home) and being such a small place it will be a very intimate premiere! This being Jersey (you maybe have to live here to understand how claustrophobic it is!) you can link yourself to practically anyone in one degree of separation, rather than Kevin Bacon's 6, and consequently one of my daughter's friend's mums knows Henry and his family, so autograpghs etc are being obtained - my daughter will probably dissolve in a fit of hysteria with that alone, let alone on top of making a night of it on Friday and camping outside our little cinema complex after school with her friends!

Added to that, in Jersey we have the Battle of Flowers coming up in August, and one of the floats is doing Les Mis as its theme, and Russell has said he'd be happy to visit it and the small team building it (it takes about 6 months to plan, build and decorate a float) so yet another 1 degree of separation in action, and he's even said he's prepared (if the Headteacher agrees) to go to my daughter's school to say hello. It's an all-girl school, so don't blame the unseasonable summer weather for the breeze if it happens, because it will really be the resulting affect if 500 girls hyperventilating!

Whether you like them as physical specimens of manhood or not (personally neither do anything for me ), or like them as actors, or the roles they've taken, what's not to like when people are prepared to make more effort than the minimum expected (flying in simply to make a few hours' long visit for appearances' sake at a premiere) and instead spending a few days' precious 'downtime' in a little island that many people outside the UK (and even some in it!) can't even find on a map! Whilst Henry has many reasons to be here before Friday, Russell and Amy what's-her-name and the others from the film who are attending (my daughter knows who these people are, I don't beyond Cavill and Crowe ) don't have to be here until Friday and certainly don't have to do any favours for anyone if they don't want to! In a small community that counts for more than you might think!

Just a shame that the hoped for Jersey in June sunshine isn't in evidence to show us off at our best

Oh there is nothing clean and shiny about Tom Hardy, at all.

This man is far more beautiful:

Unfortunately, you're wrong. The UK premiere is happening right now in London. Henry and Russell were both there, sheltering under umbrellas in Leicester Square.

You might be having another premiere, but the main one is tonight, I was watching it streaming on the net earlier.
