Me too.
I loved their first audition, but I thought that the first and second auditions may as well have been the same one.
I liked tonight's because they did something different.

Me too, I just wanted them to try something different from playing the overly sentimental birth,death, hew hope angle again.
It worked for me the first time, but not the second time.
If they had done the same thing for a third time they could be accused of pulling the same emotional trick on people again.
It was a brave thing to do to change what had been successful for them before and had worked.
I think if they had done the same thing for a third time I think it would have been really sickly and I'd feel that they were coasting on the same old trick on viewers emotions.
