TV Nutters say they're going to broadcast the show, which is normal, but also the feeds - I'll believe it when I see it!

Grumble, mutter.

I've tried Firefox and Chrome with the free Hola add-in, but neither works to get the live feed page.
Neither does the free versions of HideMyAss or Hotspot Shield.

Anyone found any free solutions, or is a paid VPN the only way?

It took my debit card OK. Seems the CC companies check name, card number, expiry date and 3-digit security number only. I think the big issue will be if one of the free geo-blocking methods (Hotspot Shield, Hola, Hide My Ass etc) will work, or if a paid VPN will be required.
I paid for ibVPN for lasts year's feed and even though there's more of a pinch in the price, its super realible

Jokers has some techie solutions involving editing the CBS cookie

http://forums.jokersupdates.com/ubbt...o=&rc=&fpart=1

Anyone care to try and let us know how you get on?
Several replies saying it worked. If it does, it could be the way forward.

From BB Network

"Do I need to cancel my subscription at the end of the season?
No. CBS will not charge your credit card past the end of the season. If you signed up for the season pass, especially smart to do with the Early Bird pricing, then you’re “one and done” with payments. There are no further charges. If you signed up for the monthly pass then you will be billed once a month until the season is over. Access will conclude on October 20, 2013."

So no worries about having to cancel, rebilling etc.

I edited the CBS cookie following the instructions for Firefox and ... and ... and ...

It works!

Can't be sure until the actual feeds start though.

Blow-by-blow for the not techies

1. In Firefox, go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/fir...lus/developers

2. Click Add to Firefox

3. Restart Firefox

4. Tools > Cookie Manager (if the Tools toolbar isn't there, R-click a toolbar and tick 'Menu Bar'

5. Search for 'cbsgeoip' (without inverted commas) and select it

6. Click the Edit button

7. Delete 'UK' and type in 'US' (no inverted commas)

8. Untick the 'Expires' box and click Save then Close.

9. Close and restart Firefox

10. Go to http://www.cbs.com/shows/big_brother/live_feed/watch/

11 Enter your email address and CBS password

Can some people try the instructions for IE and Chrome?

I'm still playing the waiting game. Sure feels really odd to me, as I have had early bird since BB3. Please report back if everything works and the best set up to use later. Then I can have a mad dash and get it all sorted out.

Another bit of wishful thinking - clever types realised that the BBCanada feeds for mobile devices weren't geo-blocked at all, and we even got a nice viewer to watch them with.

Some of the clips videos are geo blocked. You can test with those I suppose.

The windows version of Hola worked for the vids though but didn't work for the feed test. Luckily I won't be watching the livefeed live in the early hours so I'm hoping someone will have figured it out by the time I get to watch any of it in the morning

Hoping the flashback feature is good

Yes; ordinary UK debit card, all my own real details, except replace your county with Oregon and your post code with an Oregon zip code.

We'll know just after 5am BST when the feeds kick in if it's working.

Er - don't remember. Don't think it asked for an address, just email and pick a username and password.

If you're trying the potential solution in post #35 - editing cookies - you have to join cbs & sign up for the live feeds, and attempt to log into the feeds first, because that's the process that creates the cookie that you're going to edit!
