hello all,

i bought my lg c2200 phone back in december from the link Brand new, i got the phone home to find that "no network was displayed when i inserted the sim" i know i was in a servicable area as my gf has the same network and her phone was fine. so i ring t-mobile and they tell me the sim card and number was 2 cancelled contracts and had been shut off, i explained that i had just bought the fone from the link brand new and it was for payg uses. so they said ok they will get their engineers to change it to that for me asap or up to 14 days as i had bought £40 to go in the fone. it only took 24hrs for this to go through so i was on the network the next day.

but ever since then ive had nasty fone calls from a londoner saying this isnt my fone and i should give it back to whoever it is he was sayin im stupid and u cant have 2 numbers the same he's probably right, but whoever he was tryin to get hold of wasnt me, he was a drug deeler. ive had these calls day and night off 2 different numbers 1 a t-mob 1 and another a london number.

i rang t-mobile about this and they was ignorant about it im gettin at my wits end now i dont wanna change my number as i have told everyone it now but if it means changin networks they will definantly loose my custom

is there anything i can do about this??

thanx a lot sorry its a bit long.

Abusive phone calls a re a matter for the police.

They can trace the numbers.

You should also report it to your service provider.

The police'll need their help to trace.

i've had problems with strange calls before on my T-Mobile phone: http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/...d.php?t=180093

but i dont answer the strange calls i get...

i would seriously report this or not answer, the amount of strange calls i was getting dropped heavily as i never answered them, although i still get the odd one now & then...

If it carries on i would suggest buying a Virgin joining pack for £9.99 or £3 odds on ebay as this will work on your phone, I bought a T-Mobile E398 and it works with virgin but no other network, I also believe that Fresh (carphone warehouses network) works on it too so you have a choice of 3 networks: T-Mobile, Virgin Mobile or Fresh Mobile.

Virgin joining packs can be bought here: http://www.virginmobile.com/mobile/s...ning_pack.html

or on eBay: http://phones.listings.ebay.co.uk/Si...istingItemList

Fresh can be bought here: http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/com...E&NODE_ID=5902

Another solution would be to unlock your phone although i don't think yours can be done easily!

Hope this helps you

Report it to the police first and give them whatever details they ask for if you can. Ask for a crime reference number.

Ring T-Mobile with the crime reference number and ask them to change your number.

No no, avoid fresh... they take money straight from your credit card and really dont work, it takes them days to top up your phone and as soon as you get as low as £2 credit, they block your phone until you top up..go virgin :P

They do not give 10% of your top up each month.

They give 10% of your call spend IF it is over £30

Some people spend that anyway.
