Why is it all of a sudden a problem now just because they won? Foreign acts get through the auditions all the time and there is never a problem so why start complaining now. This is nothing new

Did the Spanish go crazy when a Brit won their version ?”

Indeed.. What about if a group entered with one of them being foreign born, should we call it Britain's got partial talent? That would be ridiculous!

Of course, if we take the title as a literal statement, then technically, it is still a fair representation of the show. Britain does have talent (albeit, of a standard suitable for this sort of arena). However, nothing in the title suggests that a British act has to win the show. The title is simply a generic description of the majority of the acts.”

TV has a rather long problem with basic honesty. Playing fast and loose with wording and what it means in a politician kind of way is not a defence.

Like the rest of the Got Talent series as long as you have the right to live or work in that country you can enter

3) The show is for the ROYAL variety performance, totally in keeping. They were also criticised last week for being obsessed with death.

4) They were saying how wonderful Britain is!!”

Well said you summed it up beautifully
Jack went down in my estimation when he made that "joke" about horses with brpken legs entering the Paralympics the Queen would have been horrified

I don't think it's the fact that they are Hungarian, I think it's more to do with the fact that they don't actually live here. If they lived here then there wouldn't be a debate. Given the name of the show, I do find it a tad ironic.

Having said that, I wanted Attraction to win from the moment I saw their audition, and I'm so glad that they did win.

So whilst, I don't have a problem with them winning, I do find it amusing given the name of the show.

Agree, they were the best act, and they were voted the best act by the 'British public', I for one am glad they won

But they haven't been dishonest.

As a statement in direction relation to the show, saying "Britain's Got Talent" is true. The show's title isn't defined by who wins it, it's a sweeping statement. The fact that a non-British act won doesn't negate the (perceived) talent of the British acts who came second or third or wherever.

Britain has a German queen. They're Hungarian. What's your point?

The Queen was born in the UK, she has German ancestors.

Just suppose for a minute that either you, or me, with our "talent" fly the Atlantic to appear on America's Got Talent, and we win the show, and fly home. Wouldn't you feel rather odd going about Britain as a British citizen saying you were the winner of America's Got Talent? I would, regardless of whether I had the rights to live and work in the States and therefore the right to enter. It feels wrong, and perceptions are everything, regardless of the exact letter of the law.

I do find it quite puzzling that posters are being called racist for expecting that the winner of Britains got Talent should be British, or reside in the UK! The criticism, from me at least, is not with the winners at all, but with the show itself. It's perceived concept has caused confusion.

What gets me is why are so many complaining about them winning?

The British Public voted for them at the end of the day, if you are so against them winning why vote for them in the first place?.

Makes no sense!

I thought they were a unique act, i wanted Jack to win, but you can't begrudge Attraction on their success

An English guy won the French X Factor as well.

Personally, I couldn't care less. Yes, they weren't British but they were the favorites to win.

Britain's Got Immigrants

I'd of like Jack to win..
You can only take a shadow dancing act so far, people will get fed up after they've seen them a few times..

If a group of Taliban and Al-Qaeda done all that patriotic stuff they would have won...

Indeed!!!! Hungarian or whatever nationality, they were worthy of the crown. They auditioned and got four yeses, were chosen to go through to the semi finals and they won that round by the voting British public to appear in the final.

Us Brits know what's good and what isn't and that's why they won, not a singer, not a dancing dog, not a dance troup but something totally different and, do you know what? Something clever and totally entertaining.
