I have concluded after reading some of this thread that:

Intelligent people - Rightly acknowledge that a non-British winner makes a mockery out of the entire show.

Stupid people - "it doesnt matter coz it says britains GOT talent not britain HAS talent" (what the hell's the difference?). "and also you guys are all racist and bnp, you hate all foreigners.

I totally agree. During the last week I watched all 18 episodes of BGT 2013 and for the most part I was thoroughly entertained.

As far as I am concerned, this year there were four or five acts that could have placed first.

I cannot explain it but the whole vibe of BGT makes it so much more enjoyable to watch than AGT.

Unfortunately, the good vibes I get from watching British reality TV were dampened when I learned the self absorbed Osbourne woman is returning to the X Factor UK series. Just as Stern did when he joined the AGT cast and I tuned it out after a few episodes of watching him prattle on.

Attraction were worthy winners and were the best act IMO It didnt bother me they arent British.
Even recently on BGT there have been people like Razy Gogonea (sp?) - the Matrix dancer who was really good, OK he didnt win (he came 3rd IIRC?) but still deserved to be there! Are people forgetting him and the French dancer he competed with in the same season?
People from Britain have won reality shows in other countries - didnt a British guy win the French and Australian X-Factor? Ruth Lorenzo (originally from Spain) did well in the UK XF a few years back and no complains about that.

Personally, I think it's a disgrace & they shouldn't have been allowed to enter. Wake up & smell the coffee, Simon !!! This show is "Britain's Got Talent". A chance for "home grown" stars, to make their mark. I think that every contestant should receive an apology from you, because they were cheated !!! Yes Attraction were talented, but they weren't "British". I wanted Francine Lewis or Jack Carroll to win. To everyone who voted for Attraction, you robbed a true British act from winning - what was supposed to be - a contest for British acts. This is going to make Britain a laughing stock & make other countries think that we don't have any "British" talent. Maybe - after this year - Simon will rename the show "Europe's Got Talent". Apparently the Attraction group had already appeared on other versions of this show in both Hungary and Germany.
Also they are reported to be full time professionals.
Is it fair for full time adult pros to compete against amateurs and child acts?? I'm not sure.
If Cowell wishes to have a world wide talent show then fair enough, but simply change the name of the show.

Yes, the show is called Britain's Got Talent, yep the winners were Hungarian. Who cares? It shows how much of a multicultural country we are.

Attraction came over and brought their superb show!! Gives me faith that despite idiots like the poster I have quoted, the majority of the British public actually voted for a non-British act. These idiots are definitely in the minority

I think it's the name of the show that is causing all the confusion or debate, call it what you will.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't have any problems with anyone that isn't British entering and indeed winning. I thought Attraction were awesome and they were my favourites from the off.

But as I've said, given the title of the Show, it is fair to make the assumption (rightly or wrongly) that at least those that participate do actually live in Britain.

To my way of thinking, it's like Clarins entering a woman as 'The Face of Clarins' then finding out she uses Nivea for her flawless complexion.

It would be safe to assume that she'd at least used the products that she was advertising, otherwise it could be a tad misleading.

That's my take on it.

BGT is just one big sham ! The title gives the pretense that its about finding a BRITISH act and for the first few series mainly focussed on amateurs, people who have not been on stage much or were trying to break into showbiz... plus these people had to apply to go on...now Cowell's cronies scour the world for acts to 'invite' to the show... acts that are professional, not British and who have been doing their act for many years professionally, and in many cases some of them are even famous in other countries or have been on other talent shows ... What next - can Cheryl Cole apply to go on ? What about Paul Daniels - his career is flagging.. or even Jimmy Carr, hes a great comedian ????
Cowell is making a mockery out of everyone - simply because he's worried about ratings so wants to get good acts on but uses acts that are not known in Britain... Its nothing but a sham and Cowell deserves to be egged at every available opportunity. If Cowell is coming to an area near you then egg the smarmy slimy little toad. Cowell has sold the British public down the swannee.

I was annoyed with it on the night a bit, although not bothered now. But still question the rules.

Are they living in the UK? If not then they have to change the title to Europe's Got TalenT .

People who object to Attraction but didn't object to Ryan O'Shaugnessy last year (who was also an early favourite to win) are hippocrates. It seems like they object to some countries and not others.
